I didn't get back home until 10.30
So when I got home, me and the dogs sneaked off to bed
and shared a bacon sandwich whilst watching
THE GREAT BRITISH SEWING BEE
Which is great reality tv.
I find it amusing that I love this programme so much seeing that I have all the fashion flair of the average black bin bag
Lovely Patrick Grant has shaved off his beard! Shame
It's also good to see that the four blokes taking part ( two straight , two gay)
I wouldn't mind seeing this show, what channel is it on? I will look for it on the internet.
ReplyDeleteBBC2 gill x
DeleteBacon sandwiches in bed surrounded by dogs? I could groove with that.
ReplyDeleteBliss! And tv too........all I needed was a scotch egg and The Walking Dead and I would have been in heaven
DeleteI've never watched Walking Dead, though I've read several of the comic books and enjoyed them very much.
DeletePlease WATCH the tv show
DeleteGood GOD that guy is handsome.
ReplyDeleteI like him better with a full beard and moustache,,,,,,. I'm glad they have more men in it this year. Sqauddie guy is a bit dishy.
DeleteCan't wait to get back to the UK (next week) and start watching this. Just fascinates me to see these people struggle to master the skills of tailoring. Some of their creations are magnificent. Tickles me that my husband likes to watch it too.
ReplyDeleteI've just discovered the Great British Bake Off here in the states on Public Broadcasting. Hopefully Sewing Bee will make it across the pond as well!
ReplyDeleteI adore bake off.....mary Berry is my queen
DeleteThe Great British Sewing Bee has so much more class than the American Runway something. some.
ReplyDeleteLol rightx
DeleteYour British reality shows are pure class. No one yells or screams or throws tantrums. The contestants just carry on. Shame we gave up all that.
ReplyDeleteThe Australian version of the Great British Bake Off didnt do so well down here - so they played the original just recently, much better.
ReplyDeleteNow we have our own version of Gogglebox - amuch better offering.
LOL at your black bin bag remark :) I watch for precisely that reason, John! It's like a puzzle that I can't figure out, but I keep trying. Because I WANT TO KNOW.
ReplyDeleteWhy sewing should be so fascinating, I have no idea. But, like you, I love it. Maybe it's because it all seems so impossible.
ReplyDeleteFascinating programme and always inspires me to get sewing again. I watch it via YouTube, after it has been uploaded by others although the BBC can block these uploads sometimes, but only for a while.
ReplyDeleteBacon sarnies in bed? With the dogs? Wonderful......
I love this show . Here in Australia we are watching season 2. Patrick is a handsome man . Also love The Great British Bake Off . Weirdly John I have never watched your favourite show , The Walking Dead. Xx
ReplyDeleteAlthough the show is not my thing I do like to dip into it from time to time. Must say on this series I really go for Big Daddy (far right on your top pic).
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on the pity of Mr Grant losing his beard, which has meant he's also lost half his points in my books.
Love this programme....and I can't sew for toffee.....but Mr Grant? Oh my oh my oh my ........what a man to gaze upon..x
ReplyDeleteThank you for your gift btw x
DeletePatrick Grant looked much better with the beard. I love the show, and would like the army guy to win….he is very tasty, as well as accomplished in sewing . If I was on it I would want to tell Claudia to shut up at times and let me get on, though I do really like her too!
ReplyDeleteI watch every episode - thought that first waistcoat challenge was a bit steep for so early in the competition.
ReplyDeleteDid I see that Patrick Grant got married the other week?
Love the dishy army man - I think it will be either him or the retired air hostess who wins as both are so good.
Agree with Frances about Claudia - I am a rotten sower, but I couldn't possibly work with her breathing down my neck. (think that sew is spelt sEw but I can't possibly imagine that sower is spelt sEwer-couldn't bring myself to type it!)
Oh my, I really understand now why my husband shouts at the TV when the rugby is on! I shout at this show like a maddo. "Nooo, you have to UNDERSTITCH THE BIAS!!!" "I can't believe she didn't understitch her bias, what are you like, woman!!!" And not once did any of the ungrateful motherhummers look at the camera and thank me. ;-)
ReplyDeletePatrick Grant is too impossibly handsome without the beard, I prefer him with it. But better clean shaven than not at all!
When I first peeked at this post I thought you'd somehow found a photo of my buddy, Jess. That rated a double take! (Mr. Grant doppelganger.)
ReplyDeletePoor Patrick, the full set suited him better. Now he looks like he might pop out between challenges to tie Pearl White to some railway tracks...
ReplyDeleteShame about the beard, he looked so dashing with the full set. I always look at him and think "I bet he smells delicious" lol is that weird??
ReplyDeleteFun!
ReplyDeleteI flippin love this show and could watch it 52 weeks a year. I was so inspired last year, I bought one of the patterns they used, cut it all out pinned fabric to it, popped it in a bag and haven't seen it since - that's me, full of good intentions !!
ReplyDeleteTwiggy
Have they got rid of that annoying Scottish woman yet......oh wait!!
ReplyDeleteLol she was out first!
DeleteLove Sewing Bee, my money is on Neil to win.
ReplyDeleteI could stare at that pic of Patrick Grant all day.
