Boy, you two really look alike in the firelight! Of course Winifred is very beautiful for a bulldog, but I have to admit you're quite handsome dear John. (old gals can say things like that you know!).
Lovely pic - requires framing definitely. Make a nice gift for someone special in your life. Hugs - Mary
It was just a thoughtful post tinged by sadness . One never know what will or has happened. Plus an overcast winder day puts one in an introspect mood. Winnie is just so sweet and is showing you how much she loves what you did by opening your home to her. She lurves you. Is the banana still on the floor ?
The last post reminded me of Wordsworth's poem ODE in which he wrote "in the primal sympathy, what having been must ever be." Nothing better than cuddling with a dog.
Gosh, and oh how cosy you both look. I could do with a little roast in front of your fire at the moment as it is quite chilly here this evening. Of course we could put the electric fire on but we don't, so I shall be off to my electrically blanketed bed shortly, thinking of your lovely fire meanwhile.........!
Why are your Bulldogs alway so cute, pretty and lovable? Winnie is just the sweetest little thing. As we say here in the south, she's so sweet I just want to mash her! Of course, you're sweet too John!
Parrots are far less heavy than bulldogs. You are going to do your shoulder in carrying Winnie around like that. And I bet she can't say "Pretty Polly!" over and over again.
Now that's my kind of picturex
ReplyDeleteReflective of my post today......

ReplyDeleteTook a little while to work out which is which - but then the clue was the specs. (And when will YOU have to start wearing them, JG?)
ReplyDeleteJohn, what an exquisite photograph. That dog really adores you doesn't she? It would make a jolly good Christmas card.

ReplyDeleteAh, as my mother would say, "A face only a mother could love." (But I don't agree... I think anyone would find you cute... and of course Winnie.)
