Zombie Pumpkin

There was nothing on at the cinema this evening
Even the usually interesting Theatre Clwyd Cinema Is showing some depressing
documentary on the Conflict in the  Middle East
So what am I doing when the gales gust over 70 miles an hour around the cottage?
Yes
I carved my first Walking Dead Halloween pumpkin
I thought the bloody guts in the mouth a particularly artistic touch
I am such a sad sack

  2. You are an artiste! Bet pomegranate 'innards' would make good blood and guts as well.

  3. Lovely John. I love them. I might even do one myself. x

  4. Perfectly deep set and ghoulish eyes. You eviscerated it through the mouth. Realistic touches.

  5. I love it! It takes an artist to get the overall effect with so little to work with.

  6. Final touch would be the knife left sticking in the 'head'

Pretty happy looking for a dead pumpkin lol.

  8. Your pumpkin looks as though he saw a zombie and is yelling out in fear. Well, that's my take on it anyway. Maybe Albert will sit by it or claw at it, which will lend some realism.

  10. Am I the only person in blogland who has never seen The Walking Dead ? as such I have to carve pumpkins purely from imagination. Which means they are nowhere near as scary as yours.

    1. Frugal, you are not alone - I've never seen The Walking Dead either.

John, a purple knife and kettle grill? Fancy, fancy... you're quite handy with that knife, too!

  12. Well, that should make sure the trick or treaters stay away!!!

  13. It doesn't look a thing like Norman Reedus.

  14. Great job. Is trick or treating a thing in tiny Welsh villages? I thought it was a mostly American tradition, and that you lot mostly drink the night away.

      Trick and treating
But in 6 years we've only had two little girls here with their mum and 3 ghost masks

  16. We can always hope for a Daryl to save us all. Thank you for convincing me to watch the Walking Dead.

    Fantastic job.

  17. Nice jack-o-lantern! I can't believe you have a purple grill with a green handle! What kind is it and where did you find it? It looks like a Weber. My BFF has painted her house purple with a little green trim around the windows. I know it sounds awful, but it really isn't too bad. Mind you she lives in a picturesque village by the sea! I know the neighbors are pissed off. LOL! Would love to find that grill for her for Christmas!!!

  20. Our younger son is the artist, he carved some amazing pumpkins. To get away from the pressure of producing a good carved pumpkin we have run away from home!
TWD is recording each week for when the boys come home next month, although I think they have seen it. Artist son thought the season premiere had an unimaginative story line. Science son thought it was brilliant. I wonder that they can find shows that they both want to watch.
