Walking Dead Eps 2

Oh dear...at the end of episode 1 " team Rick" had just been more or less reunited in a heart warming scene reminiscent of the finale of "The Incredible Journey" and BANG by the end of episode 2, Daryl and a morose Carol were off chasing a black hearse to somewhere unknown, a suspect vicar joined the clan and Bob got his leg eaten by some articulate cannibals

  3. Arghhhh!!!!! John, help me out here!

Okay, let's talk about the elephant in the Walking Dead room....why in the (using your Brit speak) bloody hell would Rick et all even BELIEVE a mullet-wearing idiot!? They never even tested him on his knowledge of disease control. I'm so infuriated.

    But Bob is tasty! ;)

    1. I don't think Rick believes it totally but the group needs to move on and together ( with the exception of Eugene) the group is stronger.
Washington may be a new start

    2. Ahh the voice of WD reason. Thanks John. That makes sense.

But still...I'm floored no one has asked him about specific knowledge? I shall shut up now.

    3. Logic is not TWD's best feature

    4. Don't start my oldest son on that subject. The guns in use are driving him crazy. He's a soldier and recreational skeet shooter and has a huge knowledge base

    5. John, I don't think that WD is that bad with logic. I adore this show. I would love to hear your thoughts on "Hell on Wheels' if you ever get the opportunity to see that show.

  4. Based on your high opinion of it, and those of a few friends, I started watching this show this weekend. Before I knew it, 5 episodes had played on Netflix! I am hooked. :)

  5. Great episode....that ending, phew, pretty intense. Can you imagine watching someone eat your own leg? Yikes!

  6. By the way, love the word Vicar....wished we used it over here.

  7. Went to bed dreaming of barbecue leg. Interesting choice of actor for the vicar, new The Wire actor to replace the one being eaten. Now they just need to recruit Idris Alba and WD would be perfect.

  8. Are you still recovering from your shifts at the week end? You seem to be stuck in zombie land.

  9. Bob's BBQ ending reminded me of a joke.

A salesman is lost in a rural area and stops at a farm to get directions. As he is talking to the farmer he notices a pig with a wooden leg. "How did the pig get a wooden leg?", he asks the farmer.
"Well", says the farmer, "that is a very special pig. One night not too long ago we had a fire start in the barn.
"Well, sir, that pig set up a great squealing that woke everyone, and by the time we got there he had herded all the other animals out of the barn and saved everyone of them."
"And that was when he hurt his leg?" asked the salesman.
"Oh no" says the farmer. "He was fine after that. Though a while later I was in the woods out back and a bear attacked me. Well, sir, that pig was near by and he came running and set on that bear and chased him off. Saved me for sure."
"So the bear injured his leg then," says the salesman.
"Oh no. He came away without a scratch from that. Though a few days later my tractor turned over in a ditch and I was knocked unconscious. Well, that pig dove into the ditch and pulled me out before I drowned."
"So he hurt his leg then?" asks the salesman.
    "Oh no," says the farmer.
"So how did he get the wooden leg?" the salesman asks.
"Well", the farmer tells him, "When you have a pig like that, you don't want to eat him all at once."

  10. I don't know if I am going to be able to keep watching if they are slowly hacking people and eating their limbs whilst talking to the victim. I think this may have gone too far for me now. :(

  11. Thanks to you I am hooked on the Walking Dead!! I watched the marathon "Dead" weekend prior to the new season starting and caught up on last season. Now I can't wait to see what's going to happen next! Hate waiting a week for it.

  12. I really felt bad about Bob but maybe they will save him before any vital parts get eaten.

Did I understand it correctly when Daryl said they have Beth or was I just writing my own script?

  13. SPOILER ALERT...
I cant believe after that big build up that they escaped and blew Terminus up in one episode! I wanted to find out how those chose who to eat, and who to keep... Glad Prick has realized how fantastic Carol is!

  14. Okay...so I LOVE guessing what will happen next. Will the BBQing team end up becoming zombies because their source of meat is actually suffering from a bite? The Terminus group isn't in their normal environment since they were chased out and their protocol isn't pristine, and they are hungry. Looks as if they just began eating before doing a thorough inspection of their meat source. I hope they eat their fill, then discover they are contaminated. Maybe they cut off the leg that had a bite and it will end up saving his life, like Herschel? I cannot wait to see how they play this out.
