Albert's non weight bearing on his front right leg and has gone to bed
I hope it's just a sprain
I've had to give Winnie's fanny a good scrub with the dishcloth as she has left a bit of a
" woman mess" on my new chicken cushion on the armchair
And I have just been hit on the head TWICE by several large eating apples after neighbour Trevor
Asked me to collect a bucket load from his Apple trees by shaking the branches with an old rake
I am off to bed....for a sleep
I'll leave you with this video
Admittedly a little saccarine
But it did make me smile after a woman from work showed me it on her phone this morning
Well. There you go. First tears of the day.
ReplyDeleteSometimes...sometimes...humans are amazing.
I am begining to be addicted to these little videoss..perhaps I just need a big cry
DeleteThat last one did me in. There are so many good people in this world, it's such a shame that the news only seems to report the negative actions most of the time. I actually know more good people than bad, and you sir fall firmly in the first group.
ReplyDeleteKelly , I think most bloggers are a sweet race of beings
DeleteOh I hope Alberts leg is all right..poor little guy. This was a great video...thanks for sharing it.
ReplyDeleteI'll blog about Albert's vet visit later or tomorrow.......
DeleteTears in my morning tea.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes to Albert - I have a soft spot for black cats.
He was in good hands Marty x
DeleteJust curious why you haven't had the bulldog neutered.
ReplyDeleteThere is always a risk with neutering Bulldogs
DeletePoor airway, poor anaesthetic risk etc
Ah well, it might have been worse - like THREE apples!
ReplyDeleteOr like the whole branch
DeletePanties for Winifred.
ReplyDeleteBody form more like
DeleteThere were a lot of good ones, but I liked the fridge story...
ReplyDeleteMy sister once sent me a pair of doggy 'season' knickers and sanitary towels which fitted inside. I couldn't bring myself to put them on the dog. Surely it's more hygienic to let things air and let the dog clean itself? Dog anaesthetics can be pretty risky. We had blood tests done on our girl before she was spayed but she still had a reaction.
ReplyDeleteWinnie can't quite reach her own fanny.. Hence the regular fettle with the dishcloth
DeleteNot the chicken pillow!! What will Chris say?
ReplyDeletePoor Winnie. We ladies don't have an easy time of it. Even if we are doggie ladies.
I bought two apple trees for the missus birthday today. Hope "clever Trevor" doesn't rake the apples up for me. Hope you are OK, John.
ReplyDeleteBack again - watched the video with my teen son and we both loved it. You get a bit fed up hearing all the bad news on TV so it's lovely to remind ourselves that there are still some great folks out there! Thanks for that.
ReplyDeleteOh dear; poor Winnie, and poor YOU! Enjoyed the video, we tend to focus on the negative far too much which just breeds more of it.
ReplyDeleteOh, you would have to make me cry and rejoice all at the same time.
ReplyDeleteSlay em in the aisles!
DeleteI hope Albert is ok. I bet Chris isn't too happy with the new chicken cushion getting 'christened'!
ReplyDeleteHe wasn't happy period
DeleteI dragged him along to the vets
Sweet video, I love random acts of kindness.
ReplyDeleteHope you checked your GCS before going to bed, you don't want to be 'waking up dead' from your head injuries....lol!
When you say 'dishcloth' John - I sincerely hope you don't mean 'dishcloth' as in 'washing-up cloth'.
ReplyDeleteDear Lady, await the post that says: "After using Winnie's fanny cloth to dry the dishes..."
DeleteIt was the dish cloth pat.... But I bleached it afterwards
DeleteOh dear John... Could you not afford to invest in a dedicated fanny cloth? This still disturbs me even at a distance of 300 miles or so. Does Chris know, I wonder.
DeleteThe Waver of Grass has taken the words out of my mouth, when you said dish cloth all sorts of pictures came into my head. lol
ReplyDeleteBriony
x
Winnie's fanny is more trouble than mine, a lot more.
ReplyDeleteI bet that wasn't quite the case a few years back xxx
DeleteWinnie's Fanny sees a lot of action, doesn't it?
ReplyDeleteMore action than Paris Hilton's me thinks
DeleteSweet dreams.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
I am very attached to your Albert. I do hope he is OK. The picture of him hunting mice in the lane yesterday did not look like a very safe place for a cat. And, Poor Winnie. I hope she is back to her usual self soon. I didn't know there were issues spaying a Bulldog. How often does she go in season? What would you ever do without Chlorox!? A bath hand towel would be so much better than a dish towel! Just saying. LOL!!
ReplyDeletevom...
ReplyDeleteEeeeeeeeeew!!! Dont they make doggie tampons?
ReplyDeleteYou can fashion tushie cover for Winnie by simply using a pair of mends underpants. Since there is already a flap, it is perfect for her tail (or nub if she doesn't have a tail) You can inset a cloth diaper to help absorb the discharge, and the diaper can be washed for re-use. This can be a problematic when taking it off and on so she can go potty.
ReplyDeleteOtherwise you can purchase infant diapers (with velcro fasteners) and cut a hole for her tail/ nub.
I love these little clips that show there is a lot of good in the world, we just only get to see the bad stuff on the tele and in the papers.
ReplyDeleteThat dishcloth must be so YUK by now, what with washing chickens nether regions and now Winnie 'lady bits' ..... it must be a mecca for all germs and other even less savoury things ;-)
