Bloody hell, I am even boring myself now!..... I have just read this morning's Blog.....what a shite previous post!
I have been going around the village conscripting people to enter the Flower Show and I felt a little like the bandit king riding into the Mexican village in The Magnificent Seven.....when no one could be found........
I will leave you with a couple of photos of my next door neighbours wild flower garden
Absolutely stunning and oh so interesting.

And no grass to mow or weeds to pull. I made a serious but futile attempt to start such a garden scene at our house, years ago.
ReplyDeleteOh goody! I'm reading this before I've seen the posting you're so down on - but, even though not intended, you've made it sound so compelling. 'Scuse me - must go now and read!
ReplyDeleteBtw: Yup, great flowers - the sort one could lie among, drift off and dream......
They are indeed very pretty flowers…do they come up every year with no effort required?
ReplyDeleteNot heard about the bike for a few days…have you given up already?
No biking tonight.. Doing 10 miles!
DeleteI like it....it has a wild feel to it.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed the lovely rugs...how sad is that!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty. I often bore myself.
ReplyDeleteLove those poppies. I never find them boring. :)
ReplyDeleteThat is what I wanted my garden to look like. There is always next year :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! No, not you John; but the garden!
ReplyDeleteI want that wild flower garden - I want a meadow like it !
ReplyDeleteI'm not greedy, envious or jealous or covetous but...
I WANT THAT GARDEN !!!
Love the photos of the wild flowers. And I liked your post about the sunshine and rugs. But then I'm easily pleased.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous! We tried to create a wild flower meadow like that. Most of what we sowed never came up; just a patch [blob is more accurate] .
ReplyDeleteI've never heard you described as boring by any of your readers, and you are right about sunshine and depression. I would love a wild flower meadow like that but I think it's not that easy.
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking about your comment about being boring, and it occurred to me that I have NEVER been bored by your posts. That's a pretty awesome record. You have a knack for presentation of even the mundane!
ReplyDeleteI'm happy to report that I haven't read the post you say is boring, and I enjoyed the wildflowers very much. You never bore me.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
Love the garden pictures.
ReplyDeleteLove that garden. Dream about something similar.
ReplyDeleteWhat's your neighbours secret? I tried creating just such a meadow with absolutely no success, and I so want one exactly like that - it's gorgeous. Had to go read your previous post ... any chance of you coming up to Bonnie Scotland just to scrub my stair carpet? No! I didn't think so but a girl has to try :) Elizabeth xx
ReplyDeleteYour neighbour must know what he is doing, its not easy to make a wild flower meadow. It's beautiful.

Nothing about your life or life in Trelawnyd is boring, John, not even putting rugs out in the sun! xo
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous!

You are your own worst critic, mi amigo. Ok, well, maybe tied for first with Tom Stephenson.
ReplyDeleteLOVERLY rainbow coloured flowers!
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful! Love the poppies!
ReplyDeleteJohn, I'm dying to know did they just throw packets of seeds at it? This wildflower gardening in my experience doesn't deliver such brilliant results... I am just so envious!
ReplyDeleteLLX
They planted out a former veg bed with a2 cheap packets of seed from aldi
DeleteAh, so they started with good soil then. I've got a bit of wildflower going on in the back, but it's more of a wildflower and weed competition.
