Time To Go

It's 10.14 am
The pea green trousers have been ironed
My new white shirt with the yachts on it is hanging up ready
Theatre tickets are in my wallet,
The birds are all fed and watered
The dogs walked
The cottage is tidy
I have a book to read for the journey
And I have clean underwear on just in case I'm flattened by a route master
It's now 10.16 am
Time to check if I've packed Chris' oyster card

What time is my train?
I hear you ask

13.00!

  10. Dying to see the pic of you in pea green pants and I love the sound of the shirt with yachts on it! You are organized, A man after my own heart. Who looks after the children while you're away this weekend? Anyway, you have a wonderful time, John. xx

  13. Oh dear. Everything is fed, tidied, and sorted.
I hope it doesn't all disintegrate into real life before you leave!
(The owl and the Pussy-cat went to sea in a beautiful pea-green boat.
They took some honey and plenty of money wrapped up in a five-pound note. .)

  14. Have fun. In my limited experience, routemasters are quite harmless.

Ever consider your pea green trousers are a bit "much?"
Think that was last year's color...

  22. I have days like that when I all organised and ready way before I should be .... then I start another job and suddenly I'm late!!

  23. I wish I was so organized. If I was ready at 10:14, my drive would have been scheduled to leave at 10:10. I know, it is a dreadful habit. My husband is like you, so it's interesting at our house when we must go out. Enjoy your time off!

  30. Pea green trousers???? What sort of fashion hell is this? Surely even in Wales they can't be the style choice this season.

  31. Knowing our travel patterns and my husband, we would have been at the train station at rising of the sun. Do post photos!

According to my mother it is a wise thing to have an extra pair of undies.
