I am appalled. Not only was I unaware you were taking this photo of me I certainly did not give you permission to go viral with it. My attorneys will be in touch.
Not being familiar with this particular type of dog, I find it hard to tell whether her facial expression is that of deep relaxation (as at a spa, like someone before me suggested) or of resigned unhappiness. Most dogs love baths, don't they?
Lovely photo John. Tuppence and all other parts I should say. Tess smells absolutely awful and will shortly get a cut and a shampoo - that will smarten her up for Spring.
As my mother would have said, "She stinks like a fummard." (I think a fummard is a ferret.)
I was facing the prospect of giving my Leghorn hen a spa session, after she damaged her comb sticking her head through the wire of the run. She was as per usual in not discomfort, but the feeder looked like it belonged in an opening scene from CSI, and the hen was as blood spattered as Stallone is at the end of most Rocky films. Then yesterday, she opened the wound again and got a repeat performance. But last night's verbal warning of a bath seems to have stopped her today. Mind you, haven't seen any squirrels today for her to have a face off with.
She looks like she's at a spa!!!
ReplyDeletePathos!
ReplyDeleteLooks like she is waiting for her full body massage!!
ReplyDeleteSuch a look of resignation..bless her.
ReplyDeleteJane x
I look like that when I've been in the bath too long.
ReplyDelete'Now what'! look on her face.
ReplyDeletethat's an 'oh for gods sake, does everything have to be photographed' look on her face.
ReplyDelete"I've got the grumps!"

ReplyDeleteI see all went well and to think I ONLY have the wee Baron to wash :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweetheart. You should have that as a greeting card.
ReplyDeleteI can't decide if she looks pathetic or relaxed. Maybe both!
ReplyDeleteI think she finally enjoyed the whole experience once I dragged her carcass into the water
ReplyDeleteJust who could resist a face like that! Love your blog
ReplyDeleteThank you Kim x

ReplyDeleteKnowing Winifred.... The expression states
Delete" mild surprise"
My God, John, she looks as if putting up with you is such a bother, but she will comply because she loves you.

Look at that lovely face, what is she trying to say, Is it help?
ReplyDeleteI wish someone would "drag my carcass under water", John. As it it I have to do all my own dirty work.
ReplyDeleteWinifred looks how I feel. In fact, next time I look in the mirror I might indeed look life her. Which would be a pity.

That face is too good to be true.
ReplyDeleteLove,

Fabulous photo. Snippet's only had two baths in four and a half years. I claim the rain does it for me.

ReplyDeleteIf it bleeds again.. Try super gluing it.
DeleteIt works wonders
Put a gun in her hand and a hat on her head and she would be a dead ringer for my Orson Wells picture.
ReplyDeleteNot sure who looks the more fed up, Winnie or George. They may be plotting now..
ReplyDeleteShe looks quite 'thrilled', haha.
ReplyDeleteHope it was a successful bath, John. :-)
How can you tell if she's been in too long when she's wrinkled to begin with?
ReplyDeleteCute as a button.
Actually pretty cute haha.
ReplyDeleteIsn't she!.
DeleteA real sweetie x
