Chris is working in London, and suited and booted will be just about tucking into a lovely Meal in a posh restaurant in Covent Garden right now
I am sat in my long John's and woolly hat in front of the fire with a cat on my shoulder

Hey ho

ReplyDeleteHey John - You sound like a typical Canadian right now. Add a bit of maple syrup to the toast and you've nailed it. Hugs
ReplyDeleteI think you have the better deal.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
Chris is lucky he's far from you.... ;-)
ReplyDeleteBeans beans the musical fruit...
DeleteCow x
DeleteTooty fruit.
DeleteDont be too downhearted, I think beans on toast and a lovely puss cat is the better deal.
ReplyDeletebut you know that the poop and grim that you may accidentally find in your house is from your animals. and not some grim dirty urchin rubbing it on the escalator hand rail going to the tube! ew retching at the thought. let alone the black bogeys. yuck yuck
ReplyDeletebest off with the fur babies and some nice tea to go with your toast and beans.. yum
My favorite meal, and a beautiful, sweet Albert....
ReplyDeleteYou are a lucky duck my friend.
~Jo
U are a cheap date Jo x
DeleteI'll take your situation over his any day.
ReplyDeleteGood for you old gal xxx
ReplyDeleteI'd rather be in Wales, too, but I'd love to see you answering the door in the get up!
ReplyDeleteI can picture it you cutie.
ReplyDeleteAw bless
ReplyDeleteWell ,no bloody wonder Chris didn't take you ,dressed like that!
ReplyDeleteJane x
hmmmmm, methinks you drew the short straw...when do YOU get to have a fancy meal at covent garden? and will chris see eliza doolittle there?
ReplyDeleteAm meeting my best mate NUALA on the 20th in London so I can't moan x
DeleteI could just eat a plate of Heinz Baked Beans on buttered toast! We can get tins of baked beans here but they are from South Africa and just don't taste the same. The brand name of these beans is Koo, by the way, Doesn't have the same ring to it as Heinz, does it?
ReplyDeleteDo you want me to send u some tom?
Deletei bet you are much more comfortable than chris?
ReplyDeleteMake it toast with a fried egg and baked beans over the lot and I will toss Miss Betty over me shoulder and join you.
ReplyDeleteThe consensus seems to be that you are in the better place, and I agree ...enjoy. X
ReplyDeleteAll dressed up again with nowhere to go!!
ReplyDeleteI could be happy in either place.
ReplyDeleteI suppose that comfort is what you are happy with. Dinner with a kitty can be wonderful. But then, so can a dinner with nice crystal... But I think the kitty would probably be less picky about table manners! ;)
ReplyDeleteCat
That is quite a contrast, John... don't eat too many beans out of despair. *wink*
ReplyDeleteGive Winnie love from me and Lily.
Let's all go to Coronation Street....You are blessed, my friend.
ReplyDeleteI despise wearing suits, so i'd rather have Albert on my shoulder and be at home.
ReplyDeleteJohn,
ReplyDeleteI would rather be in my PJ's eating beans and toast then in a
restaurant all dressed up. Enjoy!
Poor Chris. I too think you got the better deal.
ReplyDeleteNowt wrong with beans.
ReplyDeleteI've lived the life of hotels and room service, public speaking etc...and yes eating off your knee is the best glamour of all. I juts hope you did not offend your cats too much
ReplyDeleteHe loves you - suited and booted or 'casual' - you complement each other well x
ReplyDeleteI've been told that many people eat beans on toast from a plate. But if you prefer your knee... (Love what you've done with your hair.)
ReplyDeleteIn the pic what's she doing with her legs hoisted up like that? Practicing?
ReplyDeleteComfort food, now if it was beans, fried bread, and bacon; "Cowboys breakfast" from my childhood. I could just eat a plateful now,but I'm off to WW's in an hour so may be not!
ReplyDeleteRather you than Chris any day John - beans and a cat by the fire (forget the long johns) beats posh restaurants for me.
ReplyDeleteElegant dining is fine once in a great while...just to remind that home is best.
ReplyDelete....and very nice it sounds too!
ReplyDeleteYou got the better deal by far in my opinion!
ReplyDeleteAnd are you sharing said beans with kitty??
ReplyDeleteWhy not get suited n booted yourself then order a fancy takeaway, take a few snaps and show that you had a good time too? Easy...
ReplyDeleteHow could you get a woolly hat over that hair-do!?
