Then had an interview with my Samaritan director in Rhyl
It's all bloody go

I have now lost a total of 20 lbs since I started  my diet 7 weeks ago
So stopped off on the way home
And had 2 scotch eggs from  sainsbury's
...........
 in quick succession
Eaten in the car park

  2. If you eat them fast enough they don't count. I really have to make myself some of those some day.

  3. I want to try a Scotch Egg SO bad... have no idea how to make one and believe me... here in SE Ohio they are unheard of... so... maybe I better plan a trip to the UK ;-)

    1. Hard boil eggs. Peel the shell off.

Sausage meat (you could flatten out a sausage patty uncooked). Wrap meat around egg. Dip in beaten egg or milk. Roll in breadcrumbs/flour.

Deep fry. OK, you can fry them in a wok in around 3 inches hot oil. Or bake them if doing the healthy option.

Season the raw sausage meat to your taste, pepper, etc.

      Eat hot or cold.

  8. A friend and I used to go to the WW meetings and weigh ins in a small town about 18 miles to our East. If we got a good report we'd stop for Chinese on the way back home.....:) Good job you!

  9. I've never had a Scotch egg. I don't dare to try one because I become addicted so easily. Just one toke and before you know it I was on heroin. Scotch eggs must be a gateway food to something that will pack on even more pounds.

    Love,
    Janie

  12. As far as I can tell the delights of the the scotch egg are not understood on the North American continent. I've more than once been asked what they are with something like awe and disbelief.

I'm my department's supplier of Scotch Eggs. I make them for the Christmas potluck and our head of dept. always eats at least 3 halves. He calls me his fixer.

  15. I had my first scotch egg in 2010 at an Easter Party in Los Angeles. Oh My God they were amazing!!!! There was a platter full of them and it took everything I had not to plow through one or two dozen of them.

  24. Twenty pounds is amazing. Very well done !!!!
A friend who did WW very seriously and lost a lot of weight a few years ago said she got to the point where no matter how little she ate she couldn't seem to lose any more. Her class organiser advised her to have a binge weekend of fried breakfasts and anything else she fancied. Scotch eggs were high on the list. It worked, kick-started the weight loss again and she lost another stone.
So your scotch eggs could have done your diet a lot of good !!

  32. I can't wait to try a Scotch egg - have so far found 2 Scottish Pubs listed in Savannah, GA. I'll be there in 2 weeks and a couple of days, and I plan to have my daughter and SIL take me to at least one of them! Come St. Patty's Day, Savannah goes green in a big way. Green beer, green water in the fountain a couple of blocks from where I'll live, and they even pour green coloring into the river!

    Nancy, still in Iowa
