I bought this T shirt yesterday at the open day's bric-a-brac stall
And as I was pottering today
returning cake tins
And collecting rabbit hutches
Some local wag commented ( as they looked at my Pilsbury Doughboy Waistline)
" I take it , that's a very NEW t shirt"
You're not a doughboy. I know it. You're very good looking. And if anyone else would like to own that shirt, it's available in my CafePress shop. I have a link to it on my blog.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
Love the shirt :)
ReplyDeleteCheeky begger...
ReplyDeleteYou should have run after them and gave them a slap!!!
ReplyDeletePeople can be so cruel :)
ReplyDeleteDo a lot of running do you John? Dough Boy comment VERY unkind. I remember having Pilsbury cinnamon rolls in the States in 1975 and thinking I'd gone to plastic food heaven after boring UK food!
ReplyDeleteDid ya swat 'em?
ReplyDeleteYou don't think that shirt was printed with you in mind, do you now?
ReplyDeletevery funny, sorry.....
ReplyDeleteGill in Canada
I hope you gave a good look right into her eyes.
ReplyDeleteI hope you gave a good look right into her eyes.
ReplyDeleteThe Pilsbury doughboy was cute,,,, did you say anything back??
ReplyDeleteI just stood there and wobbled
DeleteWell that wasn't very nice was it?
ReplyDeleteMeh, you're gorgeous. The zombies will all come after you though cos you will be delicious, all that home grown food, you'll be lovely and tender ;-)
ReplyDeleteLove your shirt! Pity you couldn't come up with a smart retort about being running-impaired due to your Crocs...
ReplyDeleteI really love that shirt! And, oh,please, you're NOT a Pillsbury Doughboy! Some people are just so snarky, aren't they?
ReplyDeleteOh, what a disappointment - I thought that was a tattoo on your gut.
ReplyDeleteLove the shirt. And while you can run instead of wobble, you are doing better than you say.
ReplyDeleteWobble Fatboy/girl Wobble is a very scary concept.
A witty local wag.
ReplyDeleteWow,that was mean. Wtf is wrong with people?!
ReplyDeleteSorry, but (from one Doughboy to another) that's pretty funny.
ReplyDeleteDid you comment on their shoes?
ReplyDeleteI get the impression that some of the comments above are reading your own heading to this post as if it was printed on the T-shirt itself. I think it could apply to a lot more of us than we'd like to think.
ReplyDeleteHaha, cheeky sod!!
ReplyDeletedid you know you can now attend Zombie Fitness classes where they have fake Zombie's running after you!
ReplyDeleteI think a different logo - "Run as if giant scotch eggs are chasing you for vengeance!" might have a better effect in reducing the Earl Gray gut.
ReplyDeleteI suspect it might work better if the Scotch eggs were in front of Our John. (Said not in maliciousness but in empathy.)

ReplyDeleteOooooooo, ouch! Love the shirt. When I first started runnning, I used an app called "Zombies, run!" It was surprisingly motivating!
ReplyDeleteYou only need to run faster than the wag who made the comment.
ReplyDeleteI am a firm believer in you do your thing, I'll do mine. As long as no one hurts the other.
If you're happy and healthy, that's all that matters.
Have a great day, John! ♥
Thought you were doing the WeightWatchers thingy? You can join me and Libs in January if you like in our WeightWatchers Along. Hope you managed to sell the cushion cover and little scarf. x
ReplyDeleteObviously someone on the bric-a-brac stall knew their target market - alternatively you could throw scotch eggs at the zombies. or have I gone too far there?
ReplyDeleteThis made me smile and think of the photo i've seen passed around the Internet of a clearly middle-aged, overweight man, back directly in front of the camera, and wearing a tee shirt saying
ReplyDelete50
Fat
Diabetic
Ahead of you
