Yesterday, when we were relaxing with a cuppa and rubbish tv
there was a very quiet rustling at the front door.
Another bag of homemade scones had been surreptitiously left on the door knob
Who had been a calling?
Yes another ninja esque visit by Auntie Glad
I wish I had that kind of ninja around my place.
ReplyDeleteHome made scones...mmmmmmmmmm.
ReplyDeleteHa ! nearly caught in the act but definitely busted !
ReplyDeletewish I had an auntie gladys door-to-soor scone delivery service!

ReplyDeleteAunty Glad methinks.
ReplyDeleteWe get the same in France, in which case it would be Mme André leaving a basket of haricots verts or walnuts.
I wonder if I could do this with my chutney? No way on earth can I eat 4lbs of the stuff!!!
ReplyDeleteBang goes your diet then John! It must be difficult to keep the weight off when everyone in the village wants to fatten you up!
ReplyDeleteIn the freezer they have gone...... OMG....I am turning into Yoda
DeleteHahahahaha!
DeleteHow wonderful. Have a great week and enjoy the scones when you can. :)
Lol, love her!
ReplyDeleteWell-deserved scones John I am sure. Lovely updated photos of Meg and William and the delightful Winifred.
ReplyDeleteI want an Auntie Glad ..... all you need now is a scotch egg benefactor and all would be well with the world. XXXX

DeleteIf you weren't on a diet I'd send you some Devonshire clotted cream to go with them..
ReplyDeleteI have a vision of Glad abseiling down the side of the house with scones now.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, she's a sweetie.
ReplyDeleteHow lucky you are to have her as friend and neighbor...what a lovely village you live in!

ReplyDeleteI wonder if she knows how many fans she has
Oh aren’t you two lucky chaps, scones delivered at your door. All I have is the Crazy Cat Lady and believe I don’t want her delivering anything at my door.
ReplyDeleteShe's so fast, so sly, so on the fly. Want to be just like Auntie Glad when I grow up!
ReplyDeleteWe all love Auntie Glad - does she know that she's the star of Blogland? Because she is.
ReplyDeleteI just hope you are going to scoop up Auntie Gladys and take her with you to the next WW meeting... mitigating circumstances... as to why you still have a backside the size of Winifred's. You can then take Winifred the following week to illustrate the point... as it were!?!
ReplyDeleteLLX
We all love Auntie Ninja!

How thoughtful of her - not just the scones, but not wanting to disturb a quiet house. What a nice lady.
ReplyDeleteAuntie Glad...the Scone Goddess!
ReplyDeleteLovely Aunt Gladys! Her kindness extends so far.
ReplyDeleteShe is a go getter! :O)
ReplyDeleteAwww... that is so sweet, John. Stealthy, but sweet. ;)
ReplyDeleteThis is unbelievably off topic...but I couldn't find the original post.
ReplyDeleteWe had the Emmy Awards here tonight...Behind the Candelabra won best miniseries/movie and Michael Douglas won best leading actor in a drama.
Anywho, when I heard this it made me think of you and your review...just thought I'd let you know. :) Nighty night.
