Pity the video didn't include the mass brawl that erupted when Terry won the quiche competition with the quiche he allegedly bought from Marks and Spencers on Friday.
I have been out of the loop for some days, so I scanned down to read the previous blogs. They all brought back so many memories of county fairs, the competitions between veg and flower lovers. Thanks for the memories.

ReplyDeleteHehe, did it still have the price sticker on the bottom?
DeleteSorry, Terry, if you're reading this. We just feel protective of 'our' John and his quiche. I'm sure your first place was well deserved.
looks like a very rowdy crowd!
ReplyDeleteWell done John!! But I had to chuckle at Yorkshire Pudding's comment--I wondered what happened when the other quiche won!!
ReplyDeleteThe 'kids' don't know what they're missing!!
ReplyDeleteYou had a good turnout. Glad it all went well.
ReplyDeleteWish I'd been there. I need a bit more fun in my life. 13 seconds of pure bliss. Thanks! :)
ReplyDeleteBother! Why doesn't your video appear on my IPad in Canada?

Watching the video and seeing the photos makes me feel homesick.

ReplyDeleteAhhhh - village life. We're off to Chagford show on Thursday so I'll have to see if there are any amusing vegetables to rival yours! x

ReplyDeleteThis proves the flower show was a success - if people are hanging on and chatting away the time, its a keeper!
