Blue Eyes


I went into work but we were un characteristically quiet
So I took annual leave
And now I am wide awake and it's 23.57pm
Chris is in bed
The dogs are all snoring on the couch
And even Albert is having catty dreams on the back of my armchair
I think I will raid the fridge and watch  STAR TREK......

    I envy you. Due to shitty planning by my manager my unit has 7 nurses on holiday and two on indefinite sick leave over the next two weeks.

    I did day shift and will be returning to work nights in three hours!.

    My neighbour (who is the nastiest vicar alive) woke me up by revving up his air conditioning and turning on his table saw in the bit of land between our houses because it's time to start building the shanty town he calls a Halloween Fun House.

    I hat people right now.

    The first one looks very much like a lad I see when he and I are dog walking. With black hair and bright blue eyes, he's a stunner. He might be the same age as my son, but there's a flutter in this old gals tummy when he smiles at me ooh-er!
