Count Arthur Strong

Twelve of the refugees just would not go into their allotted houses tonight
It was almost dark before I could corner some of them
( hens cannot see well in bad light)
And my frustrations were high as the rain started to fall
I had just about enough by 9 pm
And bellowed out a lusty
" for fucks sake you are all getting on my tits
GO IN!"
My neighbour who was putting out the bins
Chuckled to himself
" language Timothy!" He trilled out
Ps
I watched the new sit com Count Arthur Strong tonight and laughed like a drain
I love it
And have a strange crush on the classical actor Rory Kinnear
Who plays straight man Michael
The expression and the turban had me in fits

  1. The phone ringing...good...but Moriarty's 'Staying Alive' has yet to be beat!

  4. I love Count Arthur Strong too, but only from the radio. Now I am stopping myself from commenting on tits.

    2. P.S. I remember Rory Kinnear's father (Roy?) bashing a tin tray over his head whilst singing, "She'll be coming round the Mountain". Anyone else?

    4. Yes, it's funny what passed for entertainment in those days....
I thought CAS wouldn't work on the telly, but I'm pleasantly surprised. I prefer the radio version though - the pictures are better.
Rory Kinnear is the spit of his dad though.

  5. This sitcom hasn't reached this side of the world, alas. Rory Kinnear is the spit of his dad, Wand's right.

  6. I listen to the radio show quite often... he's a hoot. I didn't know he'd made that step up/down to TV.

  7. Thank goodness it's not just me that loves the TV version of Count Arthur Strong - I hear there's to be a second series.

  8. Another massive Count Arthur Strong fan household here. We're both reminded of Howard's mum in the mix of failed airs & graces and general confusion.
