  12. Excellent neighbors! When school is in session we get some of the food scraps for our girls and one of our neighbors just tosses her scraps over the chicken fence once or twice a week...we'll have been somewhere and come home to find a bunch of corn cobs in the pen. Nice surprises!

    I too love the poster!

  13. Ours very rarely get stale bread; we eat it all. However, yesterday they did get last month's ground-up egg shells. Lucky gals.

  14. We sometimes raid the co-op bins where there was once bags & bags of defrosted peas - my friend made pea puree

Hope the bread goes down well x

  21. It was probably the woman who flattened your hen some weeks ago - she finally felt remorse.

  22. Or, could it be the ladies who gave you their chickens and henhouse after they had that scare with the fox?

In any case, it was a lovely gesture.
