    1. You calling me simple? Whilst I do like the Royals, I have to admit I'm not a Diana fan. I think she had the dirty done on her, but when she tried to nick stupid Will Carling from his sweet and very new wife, she lost every shred of sympathy I had for her. But we'll not go down that path. xxx

  3. I think she looked great. they throw you out of hospital so quickly now. You used to stay in 7 days.

The media circus is constant. At least in Wales they leave them alone(ish)

he is all lovely and squashy looking. Have you guessed at the name? Albert would be cool. he could be a James.

if it wasn't for the royal family and foreign tourists I wouldnt have a job. Neither would a lot of people.

  7. I love them, too. I just mentioned to my husband yesterday how funny it would be if they named the little one 'Bud'.

  9. Well, family betting on names is (from son) Kevin (from daughter) Coby or Calvin (Cambridge) from me Wayne (Wayne Windsor, it's about time we lightened up!) or husband's offering is Austin. Austin Cambridge.

I think it's off to the Tower for us... but he's a beautiful little boy and even came out of the hospital at 1 day old waving like a professional royal!

  12. In spite of my atheism and revolutionary communist leanings, I am also a royalist. Our Queen has surely got to be the person of the century and of the last century too! God Save the Queen! God Save Brad the Prince of Cambridge!

  13. Fantastic! Guess I'm about to be locked up in a dungeon at the Tower of London!

And they announced Kate had given birth to a "baby boy!" I would have been rather surprised if she had given birth to a fully grown male adult....

    Keep smiling!

  14. I find them a lovely anachronism who aren't hurting anyone and actually seem poised to do quite a bit of good. What's wrong with a fairytale now and again?

  15. Even though we won the war and became a country, we in the USA are still very connected to Great Britain. We love and are fascinated by your royals.

Long live the Queen (oh, she already did that). Oh well, long live everybody else.

William and Kate seem like such a normal, nice couple. I loved that he drove his family home.

  16. Ah bless, the Duchess looked so close to tears the whole time.Loved it when they talked to the press.

  17. Well, the new prince was born 42 years to the day after my son in law, who was born in Staffordshire. I do wish the Queen would send him a gold coin. The new little family looks like they could take on the world! I know that we, as Americans, have royalty envy, but the press coverage over here is getting a bit ridiculous!

  18. I happened to turn on the TV and it was on BBC America and I saw then come out with the little one. Made me smile. They looked so happy. And they were dressed in blue I thought that sweet.

I wish them all the best !

  20. I just posted about this happy event on my blog as well, before i saw your post. Glad to know I'm not alone, ha. I will admit to being somewhat of a royalist myself, even as an American.

  21. Her eyes say "I'm exhausted"
Her smile says "It was worth every second"

Adore that little chickie and her family.

I'm very much a royalist too; this is the first time I've seen a picture of Prince K-Will-Dawayne.

  24. Good luck to them, it's great to have some joyful news for a change. My guess is George Philip Spencer. Or Maybe George Albert Philip Spencer. I like George for a name, it's about due for a revival.

  26. It was wonderful to see them so happy and heading for home together ..... and I love that baby joined in with the royal hand waving, his technique has already been mastered.

My bet for the name Alexander Charles William Spencer, Lovely Hubby is hoping for it to be George (it's his middle name).

  27. George would, in my expert opinion, be a perfect name. --Geo.

  29. Speaking strictly as an American both William and Harry are some of the finest and upstanding young men I know of despite the fact they grew up in such pampered circumstances.

The vast majority of the offspring from the rich and powerful families here in the States are banal and decadent punks without a shred of real conscious beyond what makes them happy.

If William, Harry, and Kate are examples of the royals God bless them and I hope to see Will become king.

  30. So am I. I have a bet with Ladbroke's at 2000 to 1 that the names of the prince will include 'Adolph'.

  31. i am not john.......but we can still be chums......just wont talk about them with you, the subject brings out the worst in me !

  32. I thought William held the baby so naturally. Kate looked overwhelmed but blooming.
In the shop they like Albert " Bertie "

  34. That BBC Royal Correspondent - good grief his commentary was awful...

One thing I did check on... our neighbour has worked for many years on the local maternity ward, I asked her about allowing new parents to carry in their arms the new arrival down a flight of stairs... she looked at me "I know, I was screaming at the TV about it. If someone did that at my place I'd probably get fired!"

One rule for "one" and one rule for the others... :-) This has of course added a complication spanner to my ongoing devious masterplan of course but that is another story over at my blog... ;-)

  35. There didn't seem to be accessibility ramps at that door and if they had had a nurse carry the baby down, the cry would have gone up "Are they too good to carry their own child?"

I wish them all the best. With today's media scrutiny, they will need all the luck they can get.

My vote is for George William Marcus.

The look of joy, pride and nervousness on the faces of the royal couple was so touching and so normal.
