You calling me simple? Whilst I do like the Royals, I have to admit I'm not a Diana fan. I think she had the dirty done on her, but when she tried to nick stupid Will Carling from his sweet and very new wife, she lost every shred of sympathy I had for her. But we'll not go down that path. xxx
Well, family betting on names is (from son) Kevin (from daughter) Coby or Calvin (Cambridge) from me Wayne (Wayne Windsor, it's about time we lightened up!) or husband's offering is Austin. Austin Cambridge.
I think it's off to the Tower for us... but he's a beautiful little boy and even came out of the hospital at 1 day old waving like a professional royal!
In spite of my atheism and revolutionary communist leanings, I am also a royalist. Our Queen has surely got to be the person of the century and of the last century too! God Save the Queen! God Save Brad the Prince of Cambridge!
I find them a lovely anachronism who aren't hurting anyone and actually seem poised to do quite a bit of good. What's wrong with a fairytale now and again?
Well, the new prince was born 42 years to the day after my son in law, who was born in Staffordshire. I do wish the Queen would send him a gold coin. The new little family looks like they could take on the world! I know that we, as Americans, have royalty envy, but the press coverage over here is getting a bit ridiculous!
I happened to turn on the TV and it was on BBC America and I saw then come out with the little one. Made me smile. They looked so happy. And they were dressed in blue I thought that sweet.
I just posted about this happy event on my blog as well, before i saw your post. Glad to know I'm not alone, ha. I will admit to being somewhat of a royalist myself, even as an American.
Good luck to them, it's great to have some joyful news for a change. My guess is George Philip Spencer. Or Maybe George Albert Philip Spencer. I like George for a name, it's about due for a revival.
It was wonderful to see them so happy and heading for home together ..... and I love that baby joined in with the royal hand waving, his technique has already been mastered.
My bet for the name Alexander Charles William Spencer, Lovely Hubby is hoping for it to be George (it's his middle name).
Speaking strictly as an American both William and Harry are some of the finest and upstanding young men I know of despite the fact they grew up in such pampered circumstances.
The vast majority of the offspring from the rich and powerful families here in the States are banal and decadent punks without a shred of real conscious beyond what makes them happy.
If William, Harry, and Kate are examples of the royals God bless them and I hope to see Will become king.

One thing I did check on... our neighbour has worked for many years on the local maternity ward, I asked her about allowing new parents to carry in their arms the new arrival down a flight of stairs... she looked at me "I know, I was screaming at the TV about it. If someone did that at my place I'd probably get fired!"
One rule for "one" and one rule for the others... :-) This has of course added a complication spanner to my ongoing devious masterplan of course but that is another story over at my blog... ;-)
There didn't seem to be accessibility ramps at that door and if they had had a nurse carry the baby down, the cry would have gone up "Are they too good to carry their own child?"
I wish them all the best. With today's media scrutiny, they will need all the luck they can get.
