Bosoms comes up trumps

Before our own flower show here in Trelawnyd, there is the much grander and comprehensive Flower Show down in Prestatyn to contend with. My elder sister Ann, runs this show , and has done for years, so today, is the day that I have to prepare my entries. Tomorrow the show opens.
I have not really got a good eye when it comes to arranging veg, but I hope that the above basket may win me something......
Tally ho

  1. A tasty supper when it comes home, minimum. I think it's lovely, good luck.

  2. A lovely basket John. I am amazed that your courgettes are already fruiting like that. "Trumps" will certainly happen if you consume all that veg. Good luck!

  3. Your Bosoms are both lovely and productive, I see. This is something perhaps uniquely British, to present arranged baskets of assorted produce. In the States, everything is judged separately. Fellow Yanks, correct me if I'm wrong, please!

I'd say a ribbon or two will be coming your way.

  11. Lovely veggies... I'm going to have to goggle "courgettes"... as I'm not familiar with that word. Are the veggies being judged as veggies or as an artistic arrangement? Either way, it looks like a winner.

I just harvested our first potatoes today (our first year with a veggie plot), but I'm not ready for such loft displays yet.

  27. I'll be up all night waiting to see the results of the veggie show!!! I wish the basket arrangement style would catch on here in the US, it's very attractive. (despite the obvious phallic theme)
