My Stalker

Yesterday, if I had know I was about to receive a visit from one of my most humorous of blog readers, I would have brushed my hair, donned my best Walking Dead T shirt and bought in a selection of Marks & Spencer Scotch eggs.
But I didn't.... And so after a few minutes sleep(prior to night shift last night) I got up to receive visitors looking like a fat, dishevelled old fart.
Jo from http://hestanesta.blogspot.co.uk/, was on a day trip to Wales from her delightful period cottage in Derbyshire, and as she is a bit of a giddy kipper , she decided to drop down to Trelawnyd to see if I was not just a figment of some old lady's imagination.
It was lovely to meet with her and her husband....I am just sorry I was not more hospitable.... Next time I will do a lot better than a gift of a large goose egg!

Me showing jo my " Bosoms" ( and my considerable gut) xx

  1. For one, it is really good that the UK is small geographically. You guys can visit each other all across :-)

If she was your stalker, you would not be knowing about the visit!

    2. Good idea. The place is now a 'Mecca' (I hope I can still say that) for Hen Parties, so is already set up for a bunch of people like us. Until fairly recently, the AGM for the Monster Raving Looney Party was at the Hilton, just down the road from me.

    3. Have it in October, as I may be visiting Bath or very near there around Oct. 16,17,18 etc. Did I mention that I need a lift to the airport after that? teehee.

  9. The only one's I've ever had, turned up on bikes. They were an English couple on holiday over here. I was a bit flummoxed, but they were very nice people (They were followers of my old, now defunct, blog).

  11. Because we have a farm store here on the property I do see many of my blog fans in person, not such a big deal but when in Ireland last December I was approached by a local in Doolin, County Clare, I felt all ...you know...naked and exposed. A rather pleasant feeling. Love your big egg by the way

  12. I'd rather like to be described as a "giddy kipper".

  13. That sounds like a pleasant surprise! Good for you, Jo. John, if I ever get back to the UK I'll certainly give you enough warning so you can have scotch eggs on hand for me...

  15. Oh, well, I'm jealous now! I like this t-shirt better, anyway. If / When I ever make it to see your Bosoms, I shall be sure to call ahead It would be an ever-livin' shame to travel all that way and miss the opportunity to share a scotch egg with His Earlness.

  16. I'll show you mine if you'll show me yours, LOL (ample bosoms of course).

Never had a scotch egg, I'll have to google that.

  18. Jennifer Lopez dropped round to see me the other day too... which was nice.
Come to think of it, I think it might have been at night before I woke up.
I fully expect the 'red carpet' treatment when I drop round John.

John - I was just thinking (I know, I know) Is there a local B & B that would offer discounts to Bosoms pilgrims? You could do holiday packages including tours of Trelawnyd's places of interest and tea with Auntie Glad. I'm planning on coming back over to Pembrokeshire at the end of the summer. I could tack on a couple of days for a pilgrimage up north, scotch egg in hand!

How often has this happened to you? I'm a fairly new follower, and I recall an American couple recognizing you in Trelawnyd. You're almost famous. ;)

  34. I see the T-shirt (that, readers note, I sloganized and had custom made for John) has shrunk in the wash! A cool wash is required!

But it is nice to see you wearing something that hasn't yet had soil/egg/chicken droppings spilled all down it.

Aha, if you give away goose eggs to visiting blog friends then I can enter a boiled one when I turn up for The Flower Show :-) I'd better read the rules - maybe boiled eggs have to be hen eggs...
