Nine ducks ( with cockerels Bogbrush & duster) |
When I looked
I had eight ducks this morning
When I returned after taking Chris out for his birthday lunch
I suddenly had nine
...and it's another f*cking hysterical runner duck that has arrived
Out of the blue without so much as a kiss-me-arse
Hey bleeding ho
... okay, I could have been wrong about it being a cow as the next donation. Happy birthday to Chris... and congratulations on the new duck. ;)
ReplyDeleteWelcome to the zoo duckie...don't worry...John will look aftr you. And if he gets his hands on your previous owner he'll look after him too lol.
ReplyDeletemaybe you have super quick maters - they do it - lay the egg and hatch or they came under the eurostar past the border...
ReplyDeleteNot sure whether to congratulate you or feel sorry for you?
ReplyDeleteWell all I can say John is that if you will treat your animals as though they were family then every waif and stray in the area is going to gravitate towards your plot of land. Either that or some villager wants to get rid of a useless duck.
ReplyDeleteThe extra duck reminded me of this story:

At least ducks are small!
Happy Birthday to Chris.
But more messy x
DeleteMan, I wish someone would dump a couple more ducks in our place, but with my luck, I would get drakes.
ReplyDeleteHappiest Birthdays to you Chris!!! You have a duck gift!!! :)
ReplyDeletexxx
LOL! Just the kind of birthday present Chris' been waiting for!! Another animal for the menagerie which will be vying for your attention.
ReplyDeleteI almost feel sorry for the poor chap [but not quite :-)]
happy birthday chris! what the duck? another one!
ReplyDeleteDo people just drop off their animals and think you won't notice?
ReplyDeleteBugger only knows......
DeleteHappy Birthday to Chris. And not to worry about the duck, it is in good hands (unless it decides to go 'turkey' and attacks you from behind)
ReplyDeleteHe is fairly tame KK, so I should be safe
DeleteI count a dozen birds, but can't be sure which are ducks and which are elephants...
ReplyDeleteI was going to say 'Well, f*** a Duck'! but that would be rude on Chris's birthday!Hope he's having a good one.x
ReplyDeleteYou potty mouthed old gal you
DeleteI have three useless donkeys. Give me your address and I'll ship them to you COD.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure Chris was thrilled.
ReplyDeleteAre you sure Chris didn't sneak that one in?
ReplyDeleteI have heard of cats and dogs and even a rabbit being dropped off.....but not fowl! Maybe it just found its way to you on its own....
It's a bleeding drake too
Deletehey bleeding ho indeed...you're a menagerie magnet you are!
ReplyDeleteforgot to tell you I found a restaurant very close by that sells...Scotch Eggs (made on the premises and I'm going to have one even though I am meant to be a vegetarian)...now let's see you purchase them and them put them on top the car...:D :D :D
Happy Birthday again Chris (it's your day, ignore the feathery thing)!!
Just jumped the fence, eh? Your reputation preceeds you.
ReplyDeleteYou know you love them really... all nine of them. Jx
ReplyDeleteOf coarse it's a drake.....why would anyone give you a duck that might actually contribute eggs?
ReplyDeleteWell you'll never go hungry John!
ReplyDeleteIt was another runner chris with about 2 ounces of meat on it
DeleteOh, gosh, John. Haha.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend. ♥ :-)
Sorry. 'Tis your fate to attract every critter in need within a ten mile radius. They know if they come to you, they have a home. (And isn't that a lovely reputation?)
ReplyDeleteAnother fowl posting by your good self. Now what the duck are you talking about?
ReplyDeleteDuck off .......lol
DeleteWhat are you going to name the foundling?
ReplyDeleteYou must be ducking kidding me! Spontaneous generation! It's a birthday miracle! ;)
ReplyDeleteI only count 8, You must be Quackers.
ReplyDeleteLook again there are 9!
DeleteSpread rumours that you're raising Aberdeen Angus; you never know, someone might just leave you one and you'd be eating steak for years.
ReplyDeleteI got it completely wrong, no surprise there. I thought you were going to say you were one less, due to the fact that you not only took Chris out to lunch, but the duck as well.
ReplyDeleteLLX
I am in the uk for 3 days so I shall have a celebratory scotch egg in your honour to mark the arrival of the new duck!!
ReplyDeleteWhat's the count today John? ;-)
ReplyDeletePS: Hope Chris had a good birthday--I've missed your blog this week, as we are out of town ... with the Scottie of course
