I see she's doing anything to avoid the kitchen where chicken arses run amok!
Warming your crumpets over an open fire....like going camping.
is her crumpet on fire? surely not! I know the 3 of you had a wonderful time...how very fortunate you are John!
Toasting her buns!
I hope it doesn't get singed, she's too sweet of a lady :)~Jo

After having read the comments for this post, I don't think I have anything of humor to add! lol I hope dear Sorrel had a wonderful visit!
Love her name "Sorrel" Looks like she had a nice stay John ... she IS STILL smiling! :)

Here in the US we would be doing marshmallows for s'mores! :-)
Nice Photo .. we send greetings from Canary Islands
So, you've banned her from returning next year!
Mmmm crumpet. I am with Sorrel.
I'm eating crumpets right now. I bet she had a lovely visit John, and is happy that her lad has you in his life.
Thank you lib
A lovely photo, but I agree with Jane, use the toaster. Crumpets are much better when you still have your own eyebrows and a normal not bright red complexion :-)
Looking up 'crumpets' in my cookbook. Nope, no flame-toasting mentioned.
I love all comments Except abusive ones from arseholes
