From illustration, I note you've only got half a Boy Scout there. As a former member, I reckon Lord Baden-Powell would encourage us all to have a bottom half too. I hope Chris has got legs and they are up to a 10k challenge, and wish you both the best.
ReplyDeletePerhaps the Scout pictured hasn't earned his 'Legs Badge' just yet. Hence, the 10 K? hehe
DeleteHalf a scot is better than non me. Thinks
DeleteIf you are promising to post a few photos later, John, shouldn't there be a camera on the list too?
ReplyDeleteI couldn't walk ten K in that temperature, let alone run it! Tell Chris Força! (as we say here) from me.
Already sorted on the phone Tom..........tee hee
DeleteRun Chris Run !
ReplyDeleteA brave and noble man...Chris too! Seriously, I hope he does really well, especially as the day is so crappy.
ReplyDeleteReally John? Really you are going to sit on your backside the whole time Chris is running 10 K ... you best be having ready for him a hot bath, cuppa tea and a meal fit for a runner when he gets to the finish line. xx
ReplyDeleteI kept myself busy candy...I ate a cheese savory
DeleteWishing him lots of luck...and don't be mean share all your goodies!!
ReplyDeleteAnd yes.... he will need a nice deep hot bath when he gets back.
Sue xx
You don't feel tempted to join him then - now that would be something to see a photo of.
ReplyDeleteToo funny! But I'd probably have something a bit stronger than coffee to sip. Yeah... of course you'll share ;-)
ReplyDeleteDon't let him forget the vaseline for his chafing titties. When I used to run regularly I'd occasionally leave it behind - and when I realised I'd feel real sore. :-)
ReplyDeleteWell done Chris...and shouldn't you have a scotch egg on that tick list?
ReplyDeleteRun Forrest Run! Good luck Chris!
ReplyDeleteAs long as you're all sorted and the two of us know better than to run when we can ride...what DOES get into people?
ReplyDeleteyou are a funny bunny John........
ReplyDeleteGood luck to you Chris.

No buses running on Sunday?
ReplyDeleteJane x
Chris is either headstrong or foolheaded to do a 10k in atrocious weather. Give him my best!
ReplyDeleteBe prepared to coddle.
Good Sunday to you both!
You didn't sucker me in this time, John. I knew all along that was your list.
ReplyDeleteHey and I didn't see any scotch eggs on the list.
DeleteI ate them before we set off
DeleteAh, the deep and abiding love that flows from this writing... ;)
ReplyDeleteDoes that mean you ae both doing it and if so will you run side by side or at your own pace? Will you chat or just puff and pant - and most important of all - who will get the meal when you get home??
ReplyDeleteMine was only a supportive role
DeleteMy better half is often put into a supportive role and if he didn't I couldn't do the things I love. You are a good man John!!! A very good man.
