Oooh that looks lovely and I don't like Christmas cake. I've read far too many articles about being frugal and eating frugally over Xmas - balls to that. I have a homemade gluten free Xmas Pud with my name on it so if I can't have a blow out once a year then it's a sad life
Wow, what a fab looking cake. Mind you, it would look even better with a plastic Santa and a tobogganing snowman on it......plus a couple of those little Christmas trees made from green bottle brushes !!
Apparently, according to t'interweb, if you don't eat all of your Christmas cake straight away, you can slice it and freeze individual pieces. Sounds good to me!
It looks wonderfully festive. Are you going to wait until Christmas to have the first slice and hope to make it last most of the 12 days, or have you already been enjoying a slice for breakfast, lunch, tea, and supper?
Looks delicious. I have a light fruitcake in the oven right now. The fruit has been soaking in spiced rum all week so the house smells wonderfully spicy and boozey! Quite proper for the Yule season.
That is the Christmas cake to beat all Christmas cakes!!! Yum!
