Short post as I am ust a little jaded
Up late watching The Walking Dead (twice) my fault!
then woken up at 5am as Chris couldn't sleep and was reading the news on his ipad
I am back to work on night shift tonight after a whole month away from intensive care (I had holiday time to take)so if I don't get some quality REM sleep, my eyeballs are going to resemble two fried eggs in a bucket of blood if I am not careful.
So I have a plan
Chris kindly is going to do the shopping,
I am going to walk the dogs
Then I am going back to bed.
Don't expect a great deal from me for most of the day
I seem to get by with very little sleep; possibly 4 hrs a day, and look what it did to me!
ReplyDeletenow I love you dearly cro, but you do have a face like an unmade bed
DeleteLack of sleep!
DeleteI'm tiptoeing very quietly past your bedroom door in my socks so as not to disturb your beauty sleep.
ReplyDeleteHope the resumed night shift is not too traumatic. Or gory.
I love my sleep, and your plan sounds like a good one--Now get off the computer and put that plan in motion! Take care!!
ReplyDeleteMy old Nan used to say that too much sleep made you feel tired. No, I haven't worked that one out either!
ReplyDeleteSleep a valuable commodity in my books. Now you have to get yourself switched around for the shift.
ReplyDeleteI could not do shift work, I need all my sleep.
ReplyDeleteGill
should say though, by the look of it, Kim couldn't sleep as she is over on my side of the pond, and Cindy is up the road from me, so she couldn't sleep either along with me!!
DeleteGill in Canada
I could never work shifts! Please ensure your eyeballs don't turn into something from a horror movie.
ReplyDeleteI woke up at 4:45 am today... is this some middle-age thing??!
I woke too early too following a late night call with Fawlty Towers. Maybe too mych hilarity??
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your snooze John.
ReplyDeleteOh, how I wish I could sleep as I once did. Sleeping longer than four hours is a are luxury.
ReplyDeleteSweet dreams, John.
'Face like an unmade bed' - that's two useable descriptions you have given in one post. Re your description of eyes, there is a pub in deep in Somerset (or Dorset) called 'The Bucket of Blood'. Carry on.
ReplyDeleteThere is a saloon in Virginia City called the "Bucket of Blood Saloon". We had a beer or two in there a few years ago.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with getting some decent sleep.
Get some zzzzz's and take care of you....
ReplyDeleteYou REALLY need to win that package.
ReplyDeleteJane x
Ha! I was once a beautiful blond-haired blue-eyed woman when I was young. Now look at me! Age and lack of sleep have turned me into a gray-haired bespectacled old man. Get your beauty sleep John! Oh wait... you're supposed to be sleeping. Hope I didn't wake you with my whining. Erm... sorry.
ReplyDeleteMy decades as night nurse screwed me forever. Even though retired to the farm full time for two years I am still wondering the farm, the house, peeking into the neighbors house, at 2-5 am every night. Sleep well fellow night nurse
ReplyDeleteSweet dreams.
ReplyDeleteSleep well and long. Don't want you falling asleep on duty, do we.
ReplyDeleteWe don't want you resembling an extra from The Waking dead - though it might be fun !
ReplyDeleteSleep with your head to the north? What is that about!?
ReplyDeleteSince approaching my sixties, I often suffer from insomnia. And it makes me sick. So I hope you're actually sleeping now, John and recovering that sleep debt. Zzzzz. Greetings, Jo
ReplyDeleteHey, maybe that is why we sleep so well, mostly....our heads are facing north! It is very Feng Shui you know. lol
ReplyDeleteHope you are well rested! I was going to sleep in this morning, but a friend called a few minutes after 8:00 a.m., so it was not in the cards :0(
ReplyDeleteThe Cat's Mother says that if I talk to her it sends her to sleep....perhaps Chris could do the same :-0
ReplyDeleteNow I'm going to have to google this show The Walking Dead, as I've heard it's very good......another reason for me to stay up late I suppose!
