I trust that Chris will have brought you back something Australian like a small jar of "Vegemite", a plastic boomerang or an old INXS CD but certainly NOT a "jolly swagman"!
As an orstraylian, I hope he doesn't bring you any vegemite. It is foul - and owned by the Americans these days. Our tackiest souvenir is a kangaroo scrotum coin purse. Truly gross.
Hope you have a happy reunion. Sounds funny you calling Chris old! Wait a few more years please. He he. My (really) old duffer is due home in 2 weeks. I understand your anticipated joy! xx
Absence makes the heart grow fonder ......... have a lovely ' welcome home Chris evening. My Chris and I are off to Rome in the early hours...... wine, food, more wine, a bit of culture, more wine and food ..... and a drop more wine!! XXXX

You might just be old enough to remember the 'Bisto Kids' - because that's what the photo reminds me of, or at least your own smile of contentment.
