For Those that may be interested in what Chris' new room looks like
Here is a sneak peek!
Is it all a bit much?
Ok he's a quick look
(The stately Home wallpaper has been left intact on the other wall!)
He's seen the photo and liked it!
Thank you. You made me chuckle on a dreary day.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely spot on. Not over the top in any way.
ReplyDeleteMore importantly, does Chris love it? If so, then it's perfect.
ReplyDeleteWhat no wallpaper?
ReplyDeleteRather understated if you ask me.
ReplyDeleteno elegance.. plain yellow walls and one blue floral/bird wallpaper on the "feature " wall...( see I know the "design" lingo)
ReplyDeleteCrikey, you got the pictures back on the walls in double quick time.
ReplyDeleteThe forked stick to catch snakes is a nice touch - he may need it.
ReplyDeleteit's a pressie from the RFWF a home made thumb stick tom!
ReplyDeleteI can so see him in his riding trews in here. They do say that a yellow room drives you insane though. xxxx
ReplyDeleteAnd I once had a yellow kitchen - point proved. xxxxx
ReplyDeleteWell done you sweetheart!
ReplyDeleteVery nice...... you are one fast worker.
ReplyDeleteI was painting until 11.30 at night delores and its a small room!
ReplyDeleteWhat? No fairy lights? (Unless you are keeping those up your sleeve for a special occasion!!!)

jane and chris
ReplyDeletehow stereotypical of you
no fairy lights in chris' office...
just a smattering of fairy dust and a bit of gay angst

It looks very subtle and warm. I love it.
ReplyDeleteYou did well to get everything back in and the curtains up, you did work hard.
You do quick work. Everything is back in place and the pictures are hung back up. I wish I could say that I was that quick. I recently painted our guest room 3 (!!!!!) times until I finally had the right color. The guys at the paint department were starting to give me funny looks!
ReplyDeleteIf only we could have all that our mind imagines. Well, maybe it's good that we can't. If all dreams came true, there would be no sense in dreaming anymore, except to endure nightmares! How's that for a quote from your Texas buddy?

Hey, I have a thumb stick too! I found it on one of my hikes trying to literally claw my way back to the original path.
ReplyDeleteChris's new office space looks great and the walls are a lovely shade of yellow.
Job well done. Chris should be pleased with what you did.
ReplyDeleteLOL, very nicely done, & much work on your part, John. I do love the colour you chose.
ReplyDeleteLooks very soft and inviting.
ReplyDeleteGlad Chris likes it :)

Our living room is a very pale yellow and we have found it to have a very restful and calming effect while also being very warm and welcoming. So tasteful, John, well done!
ReplyDeleteWhy do I have some stupid bloody Ikea office swivel chair, when I could have a chair like Chris's? Looks great. You done good!
ReplyDeleteGlad you've toned it down a wee bit from the aristocratic drawing room you first envisaged. And I like all the pictures, they give a very homely touch.
ReplyDeleteMellow Yellow ? Love the before & after photos where you got rid of the oppulent furnishings for a plain look ( keeping one feature wall ) Lovely Jubbly !
ReplyDeleteHave you Photoshopped the pic? It doesn't look quite as yellow as the paint you showed us!
ReplyDeletesp
ReplyDeleteit has mellowed when dry
Ah ha...a sunny room for a dreary summer!
ReplyDeleteMega bling!
ReplyDeleteOk as ever shows what I know - looks very nice! :-)
