One Little Word

Last night's Jenny Agutter-fest underlines just how one word or phrase can elevate a pretty ordinary film scene into one that is remembered fondly by thousands.


By inserting the tiny "MY" into Agutter's plaintave "My Daddy", the whole reunion scene cranks up in emotional intensity...a simple andlovely moment.

    "Walkabout" was on late night TV earlier this week. What a bizarre film but how gorgeous was the younger Miss Agutter! The swimming scene was...err...artistic!

    I seem to remember Ms Agutter also starred in a film versions of Equus, where she frolicked sans clothes.

    I only watched the first clip (so far) and wanted to say that although I don't find the word 'my' tremendously meaningful in it, I LOVE the music and I'm dying to know what the rest of the sentence at the end is! "for neither we, nor..." ??????

    Well John, it made me tear up. It happens that today is the anniversary of my own daddy's passing in 1994. I miss him to this day. The clip was dear. xx
