Winnie and Jo the female geese are giving poor Camilla a bad time at the moment! But they to were sweet little babies only 2 years ago now! Here is an old video of the two of them in 2010. God I love goslings!
In my experience of raising goslings they don't imprint on humans much as we like to think they do and gorgeous as they are to raise, such a privilege to be a Mumma Goose.Highpoint of my life in the bird world.Camille is not the same breed as the others is she? Also are you certain which one is which sex? If you've got two ganders there and one goose you may be seeing some rivalry. For that you need some more geese!!Or to remove one gander.Often they settle down when they get it sorted and I've never yet seen a gander kill another gander.Plenty of fluff and feathers fly but no real damage except to pride.Go well.
I see plenty of pairs of Canada Geese around here but no goslings yet. I worry about them because they cross a busy highway on their little legs to get to the grassy areas. They are just so adorable!
Have I been around that long that I actually remember this video? I think what has helped me remember was the shoes and no socks! :-) But Winnie and Jo were cuties, that's for sure!! I hope 'the girls' figure it out--Why can't we all just get along??
That's adorable!

ReplyDeleteThey were absolutely precious.
ReplyDeleteGiving Camilla a bad time? An unveiled attack on Canadian sovereignty! This will never do.
ReplyDeleteIn the name of good relations within the Commonwealth, you must address the situation forthwith! Or redress. Or re-address. Well, something like that.
Funny little things. Our ducklings used to do the same. You only had to sit down, and you'd be covered with them; the children loved it!
ReplyDeleteAh... they grow up so fast these days!
ReplyDeletetime flies.
ReplyDeleteThis could replace all those cat videos on the internt
