Weightwatchers weigh in today 15st 4 lbs
Weight loss in the past week 6 lbs
Total weight loss in 2 weeks 10 lbs
Having suffered that bloody awful virus last week, I just knew that my weigh in this week would be fairly successful.......... So, I didn't need to employ all those pre weigh in tricks that we all employ just before dragging my sorry carcass onto the bathroom scales
( by saying "tricks" I mean the forcing out of a big wee just before assessment time etc!!!)
Give me a couple more weeks and I just know I will stop farting with the force of the Queen Mary's Hooter when I bend over........Way to go Girlfriend
x
Ps will blog more "appropriately" a little later!
Well done; just a few more and you'll hit that all important psychological first stone.
ReplyDeleteI'm starting in a slower way - we had left over roast potatoes!!!
Taking a one month holiday in India seems to work for most people, but it all seems to go back on again after a few weeks back in Blighty, once the virus has been treated.
ReplyDeleteWee hoo! Congratulations! My lady has lost her weight in Tuuli and 1/2 a Kezia! xoxoxo
ReplyDeleteWell done. I know it's hard work, even with the help of a virus!
ReplyDeleteWay to go!
ReplyDeleteI've never had a real problem with weight but I know that dropping even a few pounds is tough. I don't know if I'd be able to stick with it even with all my bloody positive thinking. You have already done better than I ever have.
Good for you John, although, it was a heck of a way to lose weight.
ReplyDeleteYou're going to Weight Watchers? Me too! Great first two weeks, virus or no virus! I would be happy with a one pound loss this week!
ReplyDeleteWell done John. I've always found that initial loss of weight quite easy, it's the next bit that needs more determination. May I suggest lots of water drinking, and when you're dying for a snack; an apple!
ReplyDeleteKeep it up (ahem).
That's a rough way to lose weight!
ReplyDeleteGlad you're on the mend.
My "tricks" include removing earrings, waxing legs, plucking eye brows and removing dentures (if relevant!) :-D
ReplyDeleteContinued Good Luck, John!
ReplyDeleteMy own trick is weighing myself first thing in the morning, as I always lose about 3 lbs overnight. Don't ask me why....

ReplyDeleteA while back, I was waiting my turn in the chippie when a woman stuck her head round the door to ask what time closed. Her face fell when the owner said it would be at 7pm.
ReplyDelete"I wanted to call in on my way back from Weight Watchers," she said with a sigh.
Congrats on your loss. Well, you know what I mean. I haven't lost a single pound myself. I guess I'm not that dedicated afterall.
ReplyDeletem.
well done, way to go......

Way to go John!
ReplyDeleteA loss is a loss, just glad you are on the upswing...

Well done - we are both in the "minus kg" area. I suspect I'm being a bit more conservative in my approach to this than you are - like, no exposure to debilitating viruses (I hope) LOL!
ReplyDeleteNo tricks - I just hop on the scales every Monday morning first thing out of bed, before I do anything else.
Fresh fruit snacks instead of choccies and crisps, no sugary soft drinks, no alcohol, light brekkie, soup for lunch and dinner as my main meal. A 2 klm stroll to collect the newspapers rather than having them delivered. I also find sipping water helps allay false hunger pangs.
We have 5 lb bags of sugar here, so that would be 2 bags of sugar, but i like how you say '5 bags'.
ReplyDeleteI had some stomach thing in early to mid December, so i lost about 6 lbs. I think half of it was water weight, because 3 jumped back on.
I not only weigh myself, i also take measurements (bust [chest in your case], waist, hips, biceps, thighs, and calves). If i'm building muscle and losing fat, the numbers don't move much on the scale, but the measurements reflect that i'm toning up (or not, as the break from strength training showed me recently).

Appropriately waiting. :) (All this talk about diets is making me hungry.)
ReplyDeleteMy lose weight tip for what it is worth John is to keep a bowl of green grapes handy. Every time you feel like a biscuit (to eat I mean) just eat a grape instead. Might not help the farting thing but should help a bit more weight off.
ReplyDeleteFantastic!
ReplyDeleteI really like the inappropriate blogging. ;-)
In one week...I lost...exactly...4/10s of a pound!
ReplyDeleteWow...how exciting is that?!!! I'm not defeated...I just need to get the dachshund and me up off the couch to at least walk around the block or something that requires movement of the body ;-)
every cloud.....
ReplyDeleteLOL John you're a hoot! Hubby had to come in to see what I was laughing/crying about. Congrats on your weight loss...too bad you were sick though. Hope you're feeling better now.
