Here IS the new "Kathy Burke" look. Don't get used to it, because it won't be here long.
Normal Grey goatee will be resumed as soon as the testosterone can grow it.
Chris will be pleased...I think he thinks I'm having an affair
Fat chance...he's got me for good
x
Ps I am off to the Willow Manor Ball in a mo (fashionably late as per!)....sporting my new "bald" look......escorting me will be the slightly-more-scruffy-than-a-bag-of potatoes Matt Cardle... but seeing that I am spoken for, I have told Matt there is not to be any shenanigans in the limo........I don't want to get any grubby finger marks on my white tux!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ah baby face Grey, bless....
ReplyDelete...and I thought you had shaved the beard off so as to attend Willow Manor Ball in disguise!
ReplyDeleteMissed you!
jac...I am going!
ReplyDeleteSo now I have to look out for one day stubble. I'm the bloke in MacLennan kilt with Maureen O'Hara on my arm!
ReplyDeleteYou could star in a new Gillette commercial with waterfalls and ocean breakers, ending with the subtle slogan - "As smooth as a baby's bottom".
ReplyDeleteall very interesting......I think?
ReplyDeleteLove a man with a smooth face!!
Gill in Canada
Who is that man? Handsome though he is, I had to look twice.
ReplyDeleteHave a ball!
Don't be silly, Gill; even in Canada!
ReplyDeleteIt has made you look younger.
ReplyDeleteIf I had my way all men would have a mustache at least...I just like a man with facial hair...rugged!
ReplyDeleteJust as cute as the sailor in the pic on my blog!!
ReplyDeleteJane x
okay, I'm satisfied, yes, you do look younger - but I hope it all grows back fast, you just don't look like you!
ReplyDeleteCute, but I like 'handsome'and with it, you are one handsome guy.
ReplyDeleteaw deb...you dont get out much
ReplyDeleteCrikey, I was thinking more Johnny Vegas...
ReplyDeletethat was a double ooooch Kath
ReplyDeleteShoot, I thought you'd be bringing that hot veterinarian.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if I can grow a beard...
ReplyDeleteYou look younger without - but more interesting with.
ReplyDeleteNice for you guys growing a beard back is a few days, unlike a really bad hair cut for a woman can take months and months to grow out lol.
ReplyDeleteYou looked very dashing. And your friendly chickens when I arrived at your blog had me laughing all the way to the ball.
ReplyDeleteliked the facial hair, happy you're growing it back
ReplyDeleteMUCH better with the beard--gray or not!
ReplyDeleteI think you looked grand with the Brad Pitt look. The bald face is nice also, but hair on the face shows character.
ReplyDeleteYou look great either way! Have fun at the Willow Manor Ball!
ReplyDeleteI'll bet Chris will miss your goatie fluff tickling his...ahem...
ReplyDeletechris
ReplyDeletelets not venture into teenage speak
we are all adults here
Speak for yourself Kath...
ReplyDeleteI was thinking how different you looked when comparing the photo with the one at the side of your blog. Then the penny dropped -- it's a mirror image.
ReplyDeleteSee you there John...white tux..I'm swooning already!
ReplyDeleteJohn, you look great with and without... I love both looks!
ReplyDeleteFarmer
Be still my beating heart!!! Very handsome.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the pic.
Now we can watch as you grow your facial hair back!
xoxo
Make sure Matt sits on his hands in the limo....I wouldn't trust him next to a tux, either....lol
ReplyDeleteps.....I love Kathy Burke!
You DO look younger. But definitely different, too.
ReplyDeleteHave a great time and thanks for bowing to peer pressure. ;-)
White tux? Clean shaven face? Doesn't get much better! A pleasure meeting you last evening.
ReplyDeleteFantastic to see you and Matt...looking fab in that white tux...hmm...I don't see any finger marks, either!
ReplyDeleteSave a dance for me (not the tango please) as I will be there dancing my feet off. You will find me easy to spot in my silver lame Dolce and Gabbana dress size 8 (in my dreams!)
ReplyDeleteHubby has had a goatee for years. A few years ago, like you, he shaved it off and no one noticed. The thing I find most strange is however, when I mention to people who have known him for a long time that he has a goatee, they all are quite astonished.
ReplyDeleteI guess we all just don't pay attention.
Saw you and Matt at the Ball...I'm not sure who looked the more handsome!
I wonder how many people will notice it is amazing how unobservant some folk can be.Hope your evening went really well.
ReplyDeleteA white tux - very nice. Travolta will have to show you his disco moves. :)
ReplyDeleteI like the smooth-faced look on you, and you do look younger with it. On the other hand, my hubby's had a beard for well over thirty years, and when he shaved it off on a whim, he couldn't grow it back fast enough. Poor thing, it seems there were several chins hiding under all that hair, and he was quite content to hurry them back into hiding again.
ReplyDeleteOne more reason to fly over... The Willow Manor Ball.
ReplyDeleteBeen thinking along the lines of that Alpha male blogger Gorilla Bananas, and remembering reading that, pre-historically, beards made a man look bigger, therefore more imposing and masterful.
I think if you want keep the upper hand with those geese and turkeys you better get your beard back on quick smart!
Well JG, you look cute no matter how you dress up your face!
ReplyDeleteSorry I've been such a lousy blog-bud. Too much going on here in the woods of North Idaho!! xx
ps-I was so sorry to hear about Constance. I had no idea when I sent you the note with patch. :0(
Was it something I said?
ReplyDeleteIt's funny, when you know someone who had a goatee/beard/'stache before you met them, it's weird seeing them without one.
ReplyDeleteMy dad had a 'stache since before I could remember, and whenever he shaved it off, I felt like there was something wrong in the universe.
Chuckles had some sort of facial hair for years since he got out of the Marine Corps (before I was born, yikes), until he met me. Marines aren't allowed to have facial hair of any substantial sort, so they always like to let it grow after they get out.
Chuckles had a goatee when I met him. I asked him to shave before I flew down here for the first time... he actually did it (the things men do for love), and he's kept it that way ever since.
Why? I don't like the way beards chafe my lady bits.
Is that too much info?
You love me anyway.
I dont do lady bits
ReplyDeletexxx
Thanks for posting the pic. I like both looks.
ReplyDeleteAnd, why are you going/did you go with Matt Cardle rather than with Chris?? I'm guessing that Matt wanted some arm candy, and Chris obliged because he's a nice chap.
megan
Bonny!
ReplyDeleteI like it!
ReplyDeleteThe ball looks like so much fun. I might have to teleport to make it...
Saw you at the Willow Manor Ball, you looked ravishing :)
ReplyDelete~Jo
So hysterical you are. I just watched kathy Burke last night in Dancing in Loughnasa and thought if I could look as good as her I would be happy.
ReplyDeletefunny how our standards change (AKA lower) as we age.
Funny, I think you look younger WITH the beard. Without the beard you look rather too serious and stern and responsible i.e. the mature citizen.
ReplyDeleteWoah! You look really different without the goatee. Still a cutie though.
ReplyDeleteI have a thing for beards...
WoooHooo John! I'm late seeing this post but I'm glad this didn't get past me without seeing the 'new' you. Yep...they've probably 'carded' you at the local pub because you looked too young ;)
