It is a small world indeed ! I zoomed in on parents home just between Liverpool and Warrington, a tiny village and lo and behold our next door neighbour was on the front sweeping with her broom in hand, and her pinny on. It made my day :)
It's a beautiful and busy allotment you have there, so much to do daily to keep it in shape. Here's looking at you kid ! ~Jo
Hey that was great - thank you for that blog post John. You have a lovely house and garden. I noticed on Google in the side bar, my cousin's address - she is married to the Revd Clive Southerton - I think they're retired now - don't know whether you would know them? Isn't technology brilliant!
Howdy there ~ Nice! And it's so wonderfully cool to me that even though you're in the UK.. and we're in the middle of the U.S... just how very similar our backyards/terrain/surroundings appear to be. Thanks for sharing. I don't think our neck of the woods has been zoomed in on to that degree - just yet anyway ;) -Tammy
Fame and immortality! Some people would give thousands to be on StreetView. But you're not quite as famous as the strange Horseboy of Aberdeen. Remember him?
Beautiful John - so neat and tidy! Makes me feel I should go weed my own yard in case the cameras turn up. Our house on Google earth is still rather distant and fuzzy.
I'm quite torn on the whole concept. It's facinating to see others locations yet it does feel rather invasive and "big brother". No stopping technology. My Granny probably felt the same way about telephones!
Oh goodness...I didn't know you'd go this far John LOL!!! Well I think this is just great...we now know just where you are when you're telling us about your antics with the critters and where the fox and badgers were and we even have 'met' your 'neighbour'!! Do you and Chris own the whole cottage John? It looks as though it was divided into two cottage at one time or still is. I love the stone side ;) Love the bathtub in the field too...my hubby saw it before I did. We have one on our farm too but I'm hoping to restore it one day and if we build a master bathroom it will be in there. At least that's the plan...but you know what they say about plans ;)

ReplyDeleteHoly mackerel. How cool. (Guess you better not pee off the back porch anymore ...)

ReplyDeleteIt makes me wonder how many other pictures you're (we're) in!! Your 'farmyard' looks great; mine's still rather prissy.
