How big is this village of your's that you can have a such a big choir?
ReplyDeleteI couldn't spot you or Chris in there.
Very nice though!
Our village has under 500 people in it.. the Trelawnyd choir is made up of men from all over the county!
ReplyDeleteThis is my favorite song of all times. It is hard not to get tears in my eyes when I hear it. It speaks to the heart and soul. Your group did it well!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to Anne, have a lovely late evening!
ReplyDeleteOne of my favourite songs of all time and when the choir hits full cry in the middle it brought tears to my eyes.
ReplyDeleteBravo! Loved the choir. Happy birthday to your sister. My favorite time of day is 10:30pm to midnight sitting on the deck star gazing and sipping a beverage. Enjoy your evening.
ReplyDeleteOh John...how beautifully tender...moved me to tears. They are fabulous.
ReplyDeleteOh bugger!
ReplyDeleteWhat is it about a male voice choir that reduces a strong woman to tears?
alice
What a lovely choir! Thanks for sharing it with us. Where are you in the throng?
ReplyDeleteThat's beautiful! You've mentioned the choir before, but I had no idea how big it is. You have a lovely voice, John - they'd be lucky to add you.
ReplyDeleteDirty stop outs. xxxx PS Had a lovely night out in Sheffield - thought about you - you would have loved it. x
ReplyDeleteHello dear John. Sorry I've been so bad at following lately...worse than usual. Missed your birthday, and what else? Pat's been home here at the cabin, so working like crazy pulling weeds and cooking wayyy more than usual. He deserves a good meal at least when he works so hard and in Phx must fend for himself. Will try to catch up for a few minutes. Patrick's outside putting stain on the south side of the logs.(I should be helping.) Oh well. Better sign off.x-c
ReplyDeleteEven with "nothing to say" you get 12 comments. You amaze me . Lovely song
ReplyDeleteThey're excellent! Thanks for posting.
ReplyDeletemy favourite days are the days when I wake up and I've got nothing to say- phew! what a relief, I actually get some peace and quiet!
ReplyDeletexx
ps I didn't know there WERE any hours after 10 pm. . .
Hope your Sis had a good b-day bash.
ReplyDeleteFeeling a bit 'tender' this morning after your late night drinking session?
What could be more interesting than that John - I love male voice choirs of the Welsh variety. You going out at 10pm - my goodness me that must have caused a stir in the village if it is anything like our village - 10pm on the whole means 'lights out'!
ReplyDeleteHave just listened to it again John - magic and also in St Asaph's one of my favourite cathedrals. I love the fact that the audience seems to have a predominance of ladies in the first few rows - presumably wives, daughters and sisters. Must say if I was the wife of one of those singers I could not have borne it - as it was I listened with tears streaming down my cheeks - am getting daft in my old age.
ReplyDeleteA lovely choir, and they sang without the words in front of them as well!
