Once a year we used to go "home" to England. My parents would stay with my great aunt, we girls would stay with our grandmother. I think we about drove her crazy begging to watch tv. I remember "the Banana Splits" is one show we would get to see during those two weeks.
I'm popping over to say hi, John! I never watched The Banana Splits as a child. The soft spot I have for them goes back only a few years when, one very long night, my son was up sick with fever and the whole shebang. He was so overwrought. I flicked around the television stations and landed on The Banana Splits and their theme song. That got my son's attention off of his misery for a while and only then could I get him to a restful calm again. Long live the Splits!
P.S. That pig picture cannot be real. That has to be the cutest little pig ever!
Good Morning John! While I enjoyed all your posts about tv shows, several didn't make it over here so I am leaving my comment on this one because it did! Thanks for the uplift on a Wednesday! meggs.
"Size of a chicken" - the Arabian knights were surreal!
ReplyDeleteHaha. My kids actually didn't like that one so much.
ReplyDeleteOr H.R. Pufnstuf, either.
But I enjoyed them both occasionally.

It was like an early version of Yo Gabba-Gabba. But I remember it fondly.
