Blowing away the cobwebs

There is only so much I can write about planting broccoli and artichokes, so I just can't be arsed. Nor can I be arsed banging on about how old I feel in light of a potentially dickey ticker
so I will concentrate on what I do best.....
....abject rubbish
Its been a blustery, fairly cold day, so I have had to content myself with veg sowing and planting, clearing my pea frames and mowing the grass.
I took the dogs up the Gop to blow away the cobwebs, then its back to the mundane;
sweetcorn needs planting and there  is a big pile of sick that Constance thoughtfully managed to "throw up" under the fridge to clean up..........at least it seems that she is now out of season........her sluttish behaviour seems for the most part  to have stopped!

  5. Yes, I think we could all do with a bit of blowing the cobwebs out.
Constance is such a stout girl, she looks like she could take on the whole village, perched upon the hill.
What a happy little group you are :)

  17. So glad someone's sluttish behavior appears to have stopped. So, what's a Gop?

  18. Got to the 'vomit' bit just as I was popping a lovely chunk of hazelnut chocolate into my mouth. Not to worry, though, I was not put off and I carried on with the choccie. Hope your sick-clearing task went quickly and effortlessly! My choccie-eating did!

The Gop is an ancient neolithoc hill fort and burial mound which overlooks our village

  20. I find the fact that you can walk a neolithic hill fort amazing! And I don't know how I found your blog, but I have a Welsh (Davey) and enjoy your dogs from afar.

  23. Abject rubbish is my specialty!

Meh. I started my blog to be about gardening, but I find that the more I write about it, the less people read/comment.

You wouldn't have that problem, of course, because you're too awesome! Your animals are awesome too :)

  24. See now, there's a post that we will always welcome.
Whenever you don't want to post about broccoli, you can always post about Constance, George, William and Meg or your other family members. :)

    *Hugs* John. ♥

  25. Think your health problems can be laid at the feet of major stress levels? Don't know what the Doc could prescribe as a cure but sure hope he has some magic up his sleeve. The trip up the Gop sounds like a good move in that direction. Hope you are feeling much better. ...under the fridge? ...I hate moving the fridge!

  26. Here in Stepford (I mean Irvine), California, there's a ranch from the 1900s. Other than that, not much around from before the 1960s. Living near a Gop sounds magical. Hope to see one some day.

  30. Great pictures.

Are you planning for tiny little Constants any time or just delaying the spaying?

It is always refreshing to blow away the cobwebs. Hang in there, you will be fine.
