Saturday blues 12.01 am

It is now Saturday...the snow is falling ( though not thickly) and I am slightly pissed off that the media scrum /panic about the snow has put off best friend Nu from visiting yesterday!!! I miss her dreadfully!
No x factor to drool over today either
so will content myself with a google pic of my Matt!
with all this publicity, I think I will offer him a Welsh bolthole in which to hide from the press!
Boris is more than a match for any sleazy hack!

  2. Oh my, you've got it bad, my friend. Perhaps a visit to the cinema would help?

  3. It is SO weird to think that it's Saturday there! It's only 6:30 pm on Friday evening, as I write this. My poor, tired brain is struggling with this... ;-)

I'm sorry that Nuala won't be able to make the trip and hope that another time, in the not too distant future, will work out for the two of you.

Stay warm and have a nice weekend.

  4. Doesn't it just cheese you off that the weatherman can have such power over us?? Sorry Nu isn't coming. Just read about Tudor Parry. Made me all veklempt. Also made me think: For first and 2nd grade it was just my self and 3 other children, Jackie, Gary and David. In 3rd grade Roger Finan came along and he was horrid to me. Used to call me scarface and really was mean to me. I too was pretty shy then. I was so glad when we went on to the larger school so he wasn't in my class. Now I wonder if Roger had a reason for being so mean. hmmm.

  5. Nuala is an Irish female given name, derived from Irish mythology - being either a diminutive form of Finnguala ("fair shoulder"), the daughter of Lir, or an alternate name for Úna (perhaps meaning "lamb"), wife of Finnbheara, king of the fairies.

Modern people of this name include:

    Nuala Ahern, Irish politician
    Nuala Carey, Irish weather presenter
Nuala Fennell (1935-2009), Irish economist and politician
    Nuala Hafner, Australian media personality
Nuala Holloway, Irish artist, model and actress
Nuala Kelly, contributor to Nighthawks (TV series)
Nuala McKeever, Northern Ireland comic actress
Nuala Ní Chonchúir, Irish writer and poet
    Nuala Ní Dhomhnaill, Irish poet
Nuala O'Faolain, Irish journalist and author
Nuala O'Loan DBE, Northern Ireland public figure
    Nuala Wolfe, Irish writer

  6. Sorry Nu couldn't make it, bummer! The weathermen get all excited when they have something to report, they always make it worse than it sounds!

You sure can day dream, John. I don't think he would come, because any way of messaging him that he had a "safe house", would be full of drool.

Maybe make an earlier night of it?

  7. If young Cardle does choose your mansion as his Welsh bolthole, I hope there will be a bolt on his bedroom door or the terms bolthole and X-Factor might take on quite unexpected meanings.
