list for the week.
1. Start clearing the back garden ready for some more cottage flower planting. Last year the garden looked lovely (above)
2. Finish clearing the final vegetable bed and plant the first of my potatoes, broad beans ,shallots and onions
3. Paint the pig house and pick up fence posts for the new pig run
4. Set up the first of this year's fertilized eggs into the incubator.
5. Start to chicken proof the vegetable beds
Your last year's garden was beautiful.
ReplyDeleteAround here, I won't dare plant anything until May is well under way. Major task for this week will be getting last year's leaves, which have been acting as insulation, off of the garden beds. And, trying to pick out which new day lilies I am going to order.
Yes! The garden was lovely!
ReplyDeleteGreat list... I need to make a list, but very short, so maybe I'll actually get the thing done.
I'm looking forward to the hatching photos.
Busy, busy. Here at the condo my list includes doing our taxes and getting at least one closet cleaned before heading up north. I'd rather be working outdoors like you though!
ReplyDeleteThat photo is gorgeous, I never bother with lupins or delphinimums, can't be doing with dealing with slugs every waking hour.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful john more pictures needed.
xx

ReplyDeleteHello,
ReplyDeleteMy first visit and enjoyed viewing. Looking forward to keeping up with your post.
I'm jealous of that flower bed snap. Mine never look that full of bloom at one time. And, your list is very ambitious. Lane
