Nephew

Chris' nephew Leo has inherited Chris' flair for the theatrical...we sent him a vampire suit for Halloween, which seems to have gone down rather well....I wonder if he actually went trick and treating....?

The day has been typically normal here, and I have cleared some of the allotment whist listening to the Presidential Elect/Obama news and debate on the radio.
I find the estimated turn out of up to 70% of the electorate actually more fascinating than the fact that a "mixed race" politician is about to enter the West Wing, and it is certainly true that the majority of the U.S. is now desperate for change to occur. Today Obama eloquently reminded his fellow Americans that change will come, but it won't be as quick as most would like..............The world is watching

This afternoon I have moved the turkey run back out of sight of the road (It may not be prudent to have a fat turkey on show to the world just before Christmas). Eirlys warned me that there is a rampaging fox around her farm, one actually attacked her hens inches from her open back door (the birds cleverly bolted into the kitchen). She had a good look at the fox before he ran off and he looked as though he was suffering from mange.

I made sure all the electric fences have been switched on all day and even though I had to cut some of the fence wire a week or so ago to save the trapped black duck Stanford, it seems to be still working ok
