Timing

Mary opened her bowels on the hearthrug at 19.10
Just after I finished a posh pot noodle in front of the tv
I left it there
( the  shit not the pot noodle)
And in a fit of pre mother-in-law cleaning stress I ate all of the chocolate rabbit
Mrs Trellis bought for the Prof for Easter!
Hey ho

  1. Oh man , I would have totally done the same thing.
All the chocolate in the house would be gone and I would be sucking on the mostly empty bottle of Nutella.
Our baby girl is going to end up in diapers or you need to check on her diet.

  9. That sucks. It really does. I'd have eaten the chocolate, too. And washed it down with a glass of wine.

  12. I miss having children for this reason. Not the dog shit but the chocolate.
It is much easier just digging in to the children's Easter baskets than admitting that all that chocolate is for me.

  18. After reading your previous post and this one I would like to point out that you can hire people to do deep cleaning. Just a thought, John.

  20. We all "fully and rully" sympathise with your pain, and would have done the same.... except I'd suggest you go out and buy TWO replacement eggs .... one to be saved for another emergency.
And the Prof will understand ... after all, he loves you...
    Happy Easter

  22. Your cottage is so cosy, but have you ever thought of not having carpet/rugs because of this sort of thing? no? well I suppose not...but you did the right thing by eating the chocolate...we would all have done the same thing.

  23. Any excuse to scoff the chocolate? you won't be able to use that one again now, better keep a list, I do.

  25. John. This post, along with various others over the past few months, leads me to ask - have you never house-trained your dogs? I believe that Police Dogs are trained never to s*** while out on duty, so surely it is not too much to demand your dogs go to the toilet outside.
\and go our this minute and buy the Prof a replacement Easter rabbit.

  27. I hope it was Lindt. Medicinal, anyway, and I'm sure it was lush and did the trick. For info - Sainsburys sell "emergency chocolate"!

  28. Oh good for you, you needed that chocolate fix, and I would have done the same. In fact, we ate a big box of chocolates last night which were supposed to be given as a birthday gift for a friend of ours! Well, we needed comfort food. It had been a long day!
