The Flower Show Marches On

The bun fight which is the Trelawnyd Flower Show committee meeting took place around Auntie Glad's kitchen table this evening. It's like supper time at the Walton's house with everyone talking at once.....and by the time of leaving, my head is ringing with the frenetic good natured banter of it all.

Most of the Trelawnyd Village Flower Committee tonight
The next show is on August 6th.

  1. I swear to you, John, just this morning as I was on my way out to the hen house, I was wondering if the plans for this year's flower show had begun yet.
I want to be Aunty Glad when I grow up.

    2. Tomorrows blog will be about her tonight. She is 96 blind, deaf and still after 2 hours of muffled, twilight debate turned to us all and said " I have loved this evening"
      That's a class act

  8. I love your Auntie Glad. My mum was a Gladys - the English version.
Nice looking bunch of Welsh folk - bet those guys can sing, and the gals rustle up some luverly scones, just like Auntie Glad, perhaps she even taught them in her kitchen!
John, couldn't you have set the timer and hopped in the pic with them?

  11. Oh God bless her, we all need an Aunt Glad in our lives.
Mine was tiny, bent and frail but her looks were absolutely fooling. She was stronger than everyone :)
Seeing these photos is such a treat, putting faces to names in all the lovely stories.
I wish I had been able to visit the vegetable part of the Flower show, a few weeks ago I bought a zucchini .. it was the most pornographic zucchini I have ever seen. I would have So won that class.
I was almost embarrassed to buy it lol
