Trendy Carol’s hubby came around and has taken Mary for a few days while I get used to the whole catheter thing. I was grateful as I’ve been in a little pain and discomfort. Roger has kept me company, and important note to self “Don’t let your catheter bag dangle when you get out of the shower with a cat in the bathroom !”
Ouch
I watched David Attenborough’s 100th birthday tribute last night, and was suitably moved by the whole thing. Dan Smith was new to me and I rather liked his hand gesturing performance.
I hear the village’s Spring Fair was a success
I wasn’t quite up to it
Well, I take comfort from the fact that you're up to having a shower, despite the unwarranted attentions of a cat! Weaver I assume? Plenty of fluids and rest is my prescription. Wish I lived close enough to pamper you a bit, but I'll just have to send you a virtual hug. xx
ReplyDeleteIt was Bun actually , weaver never enters the bathroom
DeleteThinking of you. Take care.
ReplyDeletešš
DeleteJust catching up John. Sorry to hear you've been unwell. Hope you feel better soon x
ReplyDeleteš❤️
DeleteThat was a lovely song. Hope you are stronger each day and will soon be free of the catheter...
ReplyDeleteIt’s in for months š„µ
DeleteMonths? Say it isn't so!
ReplyDeleteYes, be sure all the tribe is on the other side of the tightly closed bathroom door when you shower. Ouch, indeed.
Is cannabis legal where you are? You may need it.
Hugs!
It is so
DeleteI have just caught up on your news - I do hope that it helps - is there a next step or is this fixing the problem?
ReplyDeleteThere will. Be two next steps two small surgeries
DeleteTake it easy - you must be worn out.
ReplyDeleteI am
DeleteYou need cosseting. Virtual hug. Josie ( )
ReplyDeleteI do
DeleteThe Attenborough birthday tribute was wonderful. What a life he has led.
ReplyDeleteHIGNIFY on Friday was wonderful…Shelia Hancock lusting after the young Attenborough in a loin cloth!
Take care and rest up
That made me smile
DeleteI hope you won’t have long with the catheter. But I’m sure you’re a lot tougher than I was!
ReplyDeleteI doubt that x
DeleteOh dear, I just read your comment that the catheter has to stay in for months. Sweet Jesus! Wishing you all the best. Rest up and recover your strength.
ReplyDeleteThank you darling x
DeleteLiving with a catheter for months will not be easy.
ReplyDeleteIf this is part of a larger plan to fully solve a problem, it is all worth the agony. I hope you are being followed closely by a urologist and/or bladder and/or kidney doctor.
Get well soon John.
Yes I am at last surrounded by urologists ( four in one room at my final catheter insertion )
DeleteAre your family members that live in Wales available to help out with the house/food, the animals and driving? I am so sorry this has happened to you John.
ReplyDeleteYes I have my sisters nearby
DeleteSo sorry you are going through all this. What happens about work?
ReplyDeleteI’m off sick but will return asap
DeleteI liked the Harp player too.
ReplyDeleteChin up !
Xx
DeleteYou are having such a rough time with bladder trouble. Wish you better times and healing.
ReplyDeleteAt least the collective urology team is on top of things
DeleteHuggs from afar. I hope there is a better long term solution.
ReplyDeleteI know, I like sex!
DeleteAre you waiting for an operation? Hope you are comfortable and have assistance nearby if necessary
ReplyDeleteYes , I will go for surgery
DeleteI think keeping the bathroom door shut is the way to go! Sorry you are having all this to deal with.
ReplyDeleteI’m coping šš„²š
DeleteWhen I had a spinal infarction 7 years ago I had a catheter for 4 months. It is funny the things you have to remember like cats in the bathroom and so on. It was so wonderful when I had the catheter removed, who knew being able to pee naturally could be so marvellous. I hope you can lose the catheter soon. Regards Sue H
ReplyDeleteA lovely comment thank you
DeleteHow are you feeling this morning (Sunday)? I hope a bit better. Take care of yourself. Bun
ReplyDeleteI found some Valium , so slept heavily after 3 am which certainly helped….im in a bit of discomfort
DeleteJohn, just catching up. Good lord, you poor dear. Thank God for good drugs. Hope you don't have to keep the catheter too long. Ugh. I'd hug you if I could!
ReplyDeleteIt’s in several months according to the urologist
DeleteI saw how the King's birthday greeting got to Sir Attenborough, it was lovely.
ReplyDeleteI suspect the king is learning from his mother and the Paddington. Video
DeleteDan Smith is one of my favorite singers. He is still (I think) a member of the group called "Bastille." I always enjoy watching him perform. I hope you are feeling a bit better.
ReplyDeleteHe is indeed
DeleteYou have had a time of it. I am glad you were able to get a shower. It is always a momentous occasion, that first shower. I hope you feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteI’ve found it important to sleep well…..hence the big smile at finding Valium
DeleteMy Dad had his catheter in place for months too when he had bladder cancer, he learnt to live with it but needed anti-biotics a couple of times. So take care of yourself ... and don't let anything dangle with cats around.
ReplyDeleteI’m not Julie Andrew’s , and so sexually I have to start to adapt ( oh too much information )
DeleteYou know that you can tell me anything, I won't breathe a word. Haha ... ;-)
DeleteSending hugs and best wishes for speedy recovery. You’ve had more than a fair share of health challenges lately. Wish I could do more than just posting well wishes.
ReplyDeleteIt’s getting somewhat boring being unwell piss boring
DeleteI share your laments on the catheter, been there, done that, Damn I hate those things!
ReplyDeleteI’m feeling sorry for myself
