Oh, I'm not so sure that you don't have some of that liveliness and 'bounce' deep below your British reserve. I propose The John Gray Foundation Enlivening Foundation which will disburse grants for reserved people to live in Spain long enough to rediscover and recultivate their 'bounce'. We would have to send you as the first test case. I shall apply to Ms MacKenzie Scott for the initial grant on your behalf.
If you show this video to the Trelawnyd choir, perhaps they can also grow enough confidence to express themselves through their bodies as well as their vocal cords. Getting pissed up at "The Crown" prior to rehearsals might help.
To sing and dance like no-one is watching - oh, if only... xx
ReplyDeleteYes if only…I only sing like this when only Roger is watching
DeleteHow delightful and jubilant! Ta, John!
ReplyDeleteHugs!
Ok babs

ReplyDeleteThe gay choir in Chester meets at a pub , which is why they are more “ animated” me thinks
DeleteI can do it in my fantasies. In reality, well, not sober, anyway.
ReplyDeleteYes I’d have to be pissed too
DeleteI love their enthusiasm, and the song. Great stuff.
ReplyDeleteI adore it too , I’m envious of it totally
Deletethat's a great choir, I don't see why you can't let yourself go, try it, others will follow! Betty
ReplyDeleteI can’t š¢š¢š¢š¢š¢š¢š¤Ŗ
DeleteLovely....but don't we fear being the centre of attention....and fear getting things wrong..or not getting things right....?
ReplyDeleteI have been conditioned by my critical mother never to SHOW OFF , that’s where my innate shyness comes from
DeleteYes...damn critical mothers...that is why I tried to keep praising my offspring and at least have criticism constructive and positive
DeleteYou can't layer on something that doesn't come naturally. Enjoy the rhythms you've got, even if they're internal.
ReplyDeleteExactly
DeleteI love them! Next you need to learn these songs in Spanish and join a Spanish choir. You’d have a ball.
ReplyDeleteI would have to stand next to the guy I fancy
DeleteSee sidebar
DeleteI didn’t have to “see sidebar.” I knew exactly who you were talking about.
DeleteIgnore the inner critics and let loose. The music also helps, this would be harder to do with old hymns.
ReplyDeleteI couldn’t do it , I just couldn’t
Deletethey look like the cast from Fame!
ReplyDeleteFama in Spanish x lol
DeleteI love this and they are obviously loving it too:)
ReplyDeleteHow do you get 50 extroverts in one room?
DeleteCarefully!
DeleteHugs!
Love this!
