Planting

I took a villager for his hospital appointment today, which usually prompts a panic attack. Roger was in the back and clumsily struggled into the front to sit on my passengers knee and not a hit of panic was to be seen all the way there and back.
“You’re my therapy dog” the villager murmured as he kissed Roger on the head when we returned home.
And Roger smiled his usual smile.

This afternoon, I’ve potted up the plants Janet gave me for my birthday, and even had the energy to clear away a ton of ivy from the French table and chairs.
The Welsh watched me lazily, and even Bun came out briefly to see the fun.
As usual Weaver remained aloof , but I saw her once in my office window , sat next to the Queen, watching carefully with narrow eyes.

I like gently sunny teatimes that build gently towards The Archers.
I played Vide Cor Meum, loud
Lovely

    1. I think that’s why people keep dogs

  2. There's evidence to suggest that stroking an animal reduces stress and lowers BP. Roger is proof in action!
Your little sitting area looks so inviting. I'll be round for coffee and cake - OK?😉 xx

How sweet Roger's interaction was with your nervous neighbor. This just shows that Mary and/or Roger may be an asset to your counseling sessions so do include "allergic to dogs?" on your patient intake records!
Your garden is looking beautiful and love Weaver's watching over you all and next to the Queen!
Please say you'll come and rid us of our rampant ivy. My mother did say that the only good ivy is in a pot!

    Hugs!

  7. I adore that little spot in your garden. I do believe I would be taking my morning coffee or an evening cocktail in that chair.

  10. I love that piece, makes me think of Venice, and the times there in the evening...getting turned around and finding dead ends of narrow streets. Wandering and finding small bars and restaurants.

Wilf Scolding - apparently he plays a character called Christopher Carter, the Ambridge Farrier.

  19. I am starting to think that virtually all dogs are therapy dogs, but Roger is really excelling these days. He needs to be certified as a PAT dog, I think he would enjoy it as much as the people he visits.

Glad I'm not your neighbour having to listen to your choice of music

You play it loud? Is that to impress your neighbours? How pretentious.
