Ive seen two of my counselling clients for the last time this morning
My final clients before I hopefully qualify
It’s been a month of endings
Sorry to bang on about it but
Tomorrow I will find out if I qualify in July..three years….
I was tired and spent when I got home
Overwhelmed and a bit emotional
I went to trendy Carol’s to pick up the Welsh and
As I walked through the gate they saw me from their place on their own sofa in the conservatory and immediately jumped up
Roger galloped over excitedly , his ears flapping his face smiling
With Mary tottering behind him as quickly as she could
Her feet as delicate as a ballerina’s, her eyes serious
And the Welsh hug I received from both of them was the very best thing
Ever………..
My daughter has a cockpoo who is as mad as a box of frogs but she gives the best doggy hugs ever especially last year when I was struggling with my health, she just seemed know instinctive what I needed her to be calm and just sit on my knee and let me stroke her. Now that I am more myself she just jumps all over me trying to lick me.

Cockapoos are needy dogs , often prone to anxiety
DeleteI've had such pleasure studying the leaflet for the flower show as it brought back so many memories from my childhood. I'm going to wallow in them for a while!
ReplyDeleteThe font isn’t clear until you click on each photo
DeleteHugs from afar.
ReplyDeleteRight back at ya
DeleteMy dog lies quietly beside me on my late husbands chair, watching over me. She is such a comfort, my pal. You are so close to being able to offer your services after 3 years of hard work. You deserve the best, so start thinking of how you will get your business started. Congratulations are in order. Gigi
ReplyDeleteLovely she watches over you, I love that
DeleteHow lovely and precious are the doggy hugs x
ReplyDeleteNearly over the finish line with your training - congratulations x

Fingers crossed x
DeleteI am looking forward to seeing the novelty veg photos.
ReplyDeleteI hope you send one
DeleteOh, that kawaii onion!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to see your vegetable x
DeleteThere is nothing in the world that beats the welcome your dog gives you is there. It just doesn't matter whether you've been away for a couple of days or a few hours. Doggy welcomes are the best. xx
ReplyDeleteOld dogs that can’t hurry but try break your heart
DeleteThinking back, some of my most treasured memories are the 'welcome homes' from Suky the Pug after she had gone deaf. We would get back, be welcomed by Mavis, Suky would sense some disruption around her and open her eyes, sitting up with a look of sheer joy on her face that we were back. Special memories. xx
DeleteI think you'll do great and qualify easily.
ReplyDeleteImagine entering a flower show electronically!! Such fun.
I hope you enter x
DeleteI'll wish you good luck for tomorrow, even though you won't need it. If ever anyone was suited to counselling, it is you!
ReplyDeleteI can imagine those doggy hugs. Just what was needed.
Now I'm going to peruse at leisure, that Village Show programme. xx
Please enter the vegetable photo x
DeleteI will check out my local market for inspiration

Hope you get good news tomorrow, John.
ReplyDeleteWe won’t hear if we’ve passed tomorrow , all of our group has two outstanding bits of work , an essay and a presentation to be marked and the results given to us
DeleteEven good endings can be sad. A Welsh hug sounds wonderful.
ReplyDeleteAgreed it is
DeleteI am most interested in seeing how your new career will proceed. You will have lucky clients.
ReplyDeleteI’m nervous my friend, working for yourself is very different and I have to find a working space and clients. To start with I’ve already been promised sessional work at a mental health charity
DeleteMost excellent!!
DeleteHugs!
Every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end.
ReplyDeleteWise words and so very true
DeleteMy granddaughter's pit bull mix, (Mya Louise) loved me so much. She must have belonged to a gray-haired old lady in the past. All 50 lbs. of her would come rushing to me, slide to a screeching halt, and she would lay her head in my hand or on my knee so I could pet her velvety ears. She could have easily knocked me over. She didn't do that to anyone else. She had to be euthanized a few months ago at age 18 as she had had a stroke. The whole family wept.
ReplyDeleteA lovely story reminded me of winnie
DeleteOh, John, how bittersweet these days are and I hope you and your fellow students will continue to get together every now and again to deepen those friendships.
ReplyDeleteI have confidence tomorrow will be a door to a wonderful future for you and your future clients.
Doggie hugs and those soft ears live long and comforting in memory.
Will enjoy reading the Flower Show brochure and thank you for including those far away in the strange veg category!
Hugs!
Babs I hope you enter the novelty veg photo class
DeleteWe no longer have a garden due to deer and creatures that wiggle under the fencing. Plus with lupus, I cannot be in sunshine without a hat, long sleeves, slacks, and socks. Bummer, huh?
DeleteWill see what oddity I can find at the grocery store.
Hugs!
Just google examples they can be made easily with market veg and fruit
DeleteThose last hours before something (good) is confirmed can seem never-ending. All will be well.
ReplyDeleteI hope so, I can be a worrier
DeleteYou paint wonderfully vivid pictures/scenes with words!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to the photos of the Flower & Produce show in 8 weeks.
Be well, John dear!

ReplyDeleteEndings and new beginnings mean that emotions are running strong. You are definitely in transition. I will look forward to seeing you start a counselling practice. Exciting times.
Love! We just returned after 5 days away. A friend was staying with our aging pibble. We received much love upon our return. The critters bond with their people.
ReplyDeleteBeginnings and endings are both satisfying and taxing, aren't they? And the little 4-legged loves are the purest little loves of all, and know how to make us feel so good! I am happy for you, John, that all of your hard work is paying off. You will help many people navigate this scary world.
