I first looked at your photos, enlarged, and chose the hens for you. Ha! You chose them for yourself and garden!! How perfect and what a lovely day you and Roger had.
Those hens are perfect! Your sister is gonna love them when she sees them too when she helps you with your garden... I would have loved to go there... hugs! deb
Nice find! The hens will be great in your garden. Did you consider the fox too? Lots of talent and skill on display and it was a lovely day for the event.
Looks like an absolutely wonderful outing! The fox is amazing, and the hens are delightful! So glad you & Roger had a lovely day out. Be well, John dear!
Looks like a lovely day out. I KNEW you'd buy something, and the hens are no surprise, I would buy them too. I liked the fox, but also would buy the curly haired dog by the hay bale. Lol! 🐕🦺 😄 Jean.
You should have got the fox as well! I like the hens. Nice seeing the work of friends there..Jon Barrett Danes' father was one of my tutors at college..and I used to work for David Frith after that. Did you see Euan Craig's beautiful work? I'm looking forward to seeing it at the end of this month at the biennial potters Beanfeast at Aberystwyth It is a lovely venue..I bet Roger enjoyed it as well!!
Also love the hens. My next-door-neighbours have just installed some hens plus cockerel, so we get clucking and rather feeble crowing most of the day. I love it.
Looks like great fun and the hens are terrific! We had a wonderful No Kings protest in my city and it was really great to see a huge turnout in nice weather. It's nice to march with others that think the way I think and feel the support of so many.
I was about to say how much I love those hens then I scrolled down further .... not surprised you brought them home with you!
ReplyDeleteLike I said below, I’m nothing but practicable

DeleteGreat choice of hens! What a cool idea, an entire show of ceramics and related ware.
ReplyDeleteAnd food
DeleteI thought maybe a goose at first, but those hens are perfect. Glad Roger enjoyed it, too! xx
ReplyDeleteWhy do I spend money on such frivolous things ?
DeleteThey make me smile x
That seems like a good enough reason to me. Wouldn't life be boring if we always did the sensible thing? xx
DeleteIndeed x

Jean.
He is adorable when he meets fans of Welsh terriers, he’s quiet and polite but will cuddle everyone

I don’t remember seeing Craig’s work, but there were so many stalls , you go a little ceramic blind at the end
DeleteThe Hens will suit your garden. One of my neighbours has metal Deer in her garden and they look wonderful.
ReplyDeleteWeathered metal looks the part in a garden almost another type of floral colour
DeleteAlso love the hens. My next-door-neighbours have just installed some hens plus cockerel, so we get clucking and rather feeble crowing most of the day. I love it.
ReplyDeleteI’m sure Trelawnyd doesn’t miss my cockerels
DeleteLove love love those metal chickens. Gigi
ReplyDeleteThey are happy souls
DeleteOoh...I was expecting an arty jug for garden flowers. But the hens are cute. It's nice that these UK places are dog friendly.
ReplyDeleteI did see one beautiful vase but it was 100£
DeleteI dunno, I might have brought the Fox home as well.
ReplyDeleteIt is magnificent , there is so much talent out there
DeleteYou just couldn't be frugal for long then. Sigh
ReplyDeleteNo……I am my own worst enemy , I won’t spend any money tomorrow, I’ve promised myself
DeleteI would have bought those hens, too! And a lot of ceramics. Roger only secretly enjoys the attention?
ReplyDeleteAn old man took to him in a big way , so much so I handed over his lead for a while
DeleteAnd you made that old man’s day!
DeleteSo much gorgeous work to tempt.
ReplyDeleteI know,I limited myself to one item
DeleteMy sister bought me a cat plaque
What a terrific display of ceramics animals. I love them. That fox though- it has my heart.
ReplyDeleteIt’s quite magnificent isn’t it, though I thought it brave exhibiting it on a plinth outside
DeleteThe hens are perfect!
ReplyDeleteThey are cheerful , that’s why I bought them 😋🐓
DeleteThe Hens look very pritty to put in the Garden.
ReplyDeleteI love their rusted look, and go with my metal agapanthus
DeleteYou know I'm adoring the fox.
ReplyDeleteSteady man stready

ReplyDeleteWish me and Roger had walked with you
DeleteI would have loved that fayre and I love those chickens!
ReplyDeleteI would have to make room for the sheep.
ReplyDeleteMy grandchildren gave me a set of these chickens for my flowerbeds, only mine are black, and one hen is replaced by a rooster.
