Aye the weather has been unseasonably dry the last couple of months old lad. I've done very little planting for my clients, only the very few that can be relied upon to water regularly. Your garden does look lovely though...
Your buddleia (I think?) has a very dramatic shape! Great to see Roger and Weaver in their natural environment, and to hear your voice. :) We're finally getting some rain down here but we're still at a deficit.
Your garden looks lovely. Well done, Janet! And your grass is green! Mine is completely brown and like straw now. Even the rain we've had hasn't made much difference. Weaver is obviously camera shy, unlike Roger, who is a natural in front of a camera! xx
The garden is beautifully designed and looks great. Once the rain comes everything will moisten and refresh. Drought is hard on plants, but they seem to hold on waiting for rain.
What a lovely and serene garden you have, thanks to Janet! Do you water your potted plants? Loved seeing Roger chilling out, Weaver hiding then running for safety, and hearing your wonderful voice. Perhaps you should record audio books?
I hope you have had some rain for the garden, ours has absolutely relished the last couple of days of cooler weather and pretty heavy rain. It's brought the lupins out magnificently.
Your garden is lovely. I loved hearing your voice, too. I just adopted a shelter dog, she is a welsh, corgie, shepherd mix. She came from a high kill shelter in New Mexico and brought to Utah by Paws for Life, a non-profit rescue organization. She is very lively, one year 5 months old. I am going a little nuts, but all will be well. Take Care, Kaye
You have the most splendid voice, sexy even. It is like being there in person hearing you telling us what all is going on in your own voice, rather than reading. And to see the animals live and in person, so to speak. Thank you SO much. G.P.
How lovely to see your garden and finally hear your voice. I have been reading your blog since covid and this is my first comment. Your blog is giving me great joy! Please do-not stop because you give people who live in less fortunate circumstances so much joy! Thanks!
Hi John, your garden looks lovely, and it was great to hear your voice in the video!you do have a really nice voice, look forward to your next video. Mary x
Your spoken English is too BBC for a Welshman. I think you might need reverse elocution lessons from someone who is the opposite of Professor Henry Higgins.
A lovely glimpse into the garden and Roger and Weaver too. I agree with the others about your voice. I had forgotten about hearing it in the Ukrainian village videos, and it brought it all back for a moment.
Lovely garden Janet is a talented gardener. I keep a bucket outside back door then when running water at kitchen sink if waiting for it to run hot I tip the cold water from bowl into bucket for garden. Irene
My dad did this, drove my mom crazy. He also wanted her to save the bathwater and haul it in buckets out tohis garden. "25 cents a gallon!" he d yell. Mom drew the line and said No.

Yes, HIS book . (hint , hint). Or play someone in your story on BBC. Then yourself when you are at the right age. I am stoked now for sure.
DeleteI couldn’t act the characters
DeleteI bet you could! "Enough of the negative waves, man" (from the ancient movie "Kelly's Heroes Get the Gold").

DeleteHappy to see the video of Weaver. Despite the dryness, the garden is beautiful. Many shades of green.
ReplyDeleteThank you my friend
DeleteI do like your decorative metal chair. If you're thinking of selling it.....
ReplyDeleteIt cost a fortune, I wanted two but couldn’t afford them both

ReplyDeleteThanks ever so much for including the snippet of Weaver.

Lovely to hear your voice and a peek at your pretty garden, John. Gigi
ReplyDeleteThe back garden is wilder
DeleteHow lovely, thank you so much. And the glimpse of one of the twins, they must love your open door and secret garden.
ReplyDeleteThey prefer the quiet back garden
DeleteI had the same thought Lizzy, how you might emerge through the gentle green curtain into a secret garden 😁
DeleteThat nice deep voice of yours makes you a great narrator of your own videos.
ReplyDeletelol cheers, I’m flattered
