What a delightful treat for you and all who were there!! How kind of Wendy, too, of course.
I look forward to your answer to Kate's question.

    Hugs!

  4. Sounds entertaining, though I can't say I associate Joni Mitchell with either ballet or Broadway.

  5. What a wonderful surprise. You are a lucky, lucky man to have such kind friends. Just need to get my head around a ballet set to Joni Mitchell songs, but then again, why not! xx

  7. an unexpected gem..... what a great summing up of your experience..... sounds like you really enjoyed it...... i am not familiar with dance, at all. I mean, my hips and knees will tell you i've done some.... probably too much in the early nineties but it was a thing back then, and i am pretty sure that none of the dancing i've ever done would be fit for public consumption - glad you had a good time

  9. Re: ballet set to Joni Mitchell songs, the Alberta Ballet did an entire evening based on her music back in 2009. As I'm a huge fan of her skills, friends took me to the show when it was in Saskatoon. I hate to say it, but I didn't enjoy it! Which surprised me. I'm not a fan of ballet I guess, except for modern jazz ballet, which I have loved in the past.

  10. I did google around, John, and find that one of the Joni songs in the show you went to was Both Sides Now.
