At first thought I wondered if Mary had lost patience with one of the kittens.
Black fur covered the living room floor.
The place looked trashed.
Minutes later I realised that the twins had disembowelled a black Christmas decoration with all of the gusto of a Take That groopie shagging Robbie Williams.
Only a pair of googlie eyes were left
Al least no one got hurt
Jackson’s ( the plant nursery and shop, located just outside the village) left their annual gift of some flowering bulbs, which was sweet. They deliver them too, to every household in Trelawnyd which is a generous thought.
Oh, you had me at 'the gusto of a Take That groupie shagging Robbie Williams'. And this read as a murder mystery movie! LOL
ReplyDeleteXOXO
Gosh I bet that was a heart stopping. moment. π⬛ππ⬛
ReplyDeleteWhat a moment!!
ReplyDeleteHave you tried orange peel under the tree? Most cats don't like it...
Have kittens, chaos will follow! Glad it was just a decoration, and not one (or two) wounded cats. What a lovely gesture from the plant nursery. Those hyacinths will be blossoming in no time. Do you (or Janet) plant them in the garden eventually? xx
ReplyDeleteOh dear. Dangling from the tree, it must have been irresistible to them.
ReplyDeleteOh, those poor little eyes peeping out screaming "It wasn't ME!" Bet that gave you an awful rush of blood to the head though. Now - breathe! And clean up.....
ReplyDeleteYour garden centre is amazingly kind and thoughtful. Wish ours was as generous. Another bit of Christmas cheer incoming.
You must have some very "alternative" Christmas decorations!
ReplyDeleteDo I see a pair of eyes peering out from under the chair?
ReplyDeleteA heart-stopping moment to be sure. The loss of an ornament or two is to be expected with kittens at Christmas. Love the capture of the little face under the chair! π⬛πΈπ
ReplyDeleteIs that the culprit peeking from under the chair? At least your tree is too short for the kittens to climb!
ReplyDeleteHas your heart returned to NSR? Hope so.
Hugs!
Never a dull moment at the Gray cottage. Is that the guilty one peeking out? Gigi
ReplyDeleteWell I'm glad that no kittens were injured:) My oldest dog did the same, disemboweled a stuffed ornament. Bloody dogs:)
ReplyDeleteHyacinths? Bulbs and flowers are highly toxic to cats and busy little kittens. Is anywhere out of their reach?
ReplyDeleteGlad no one was injured.
ReplyDeleteThe twins were just decking the halls THEIR WAY.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely place to live, people working together on events, friendly and kind villagers, takes me back to this little village when i was a child. I still live here now, but there is no community spirit, lots of newcomers and everyone drives round in cars and remains anonymous. I have but one next door neighbour and he's from Hell.
ReplyDeleteYou do have an odd turn of phrase John. I thought you were about to write that the kittens disemboweled it like it was a freshly roasted chicken, not liken it to the gusto of shagging Robbie Williams!
Jean.
Did your heart stop for a second when you saw the black fur?
ReplyDeleteReally- that is quite a unique store that would deliver flowering bulbs to an entire village.
What a scene to come home to! That garden shop has my vote. What a wonderful to do!
ReplyDeleteThe gift of bulbs is wonderful, what a delightful gesture. Do you have a safe space for the bulbs, away from naughty Roger and the girls?
ReplyDeleteWhat a description and boy did I need a laugh today, whole twelve hours out of house at hospital with Hisnibs (pre-op and goodness knows what else) only to be told op has been cancelled π€¬π€¬, then I skidded off the kerb in the rain and rattled bones along with bruised ribs. Home now and scoffing a blonde and supping tea, roll on bedtime, a day that will be hastily forgotten. Jan in Castle Gresley
ReplyDeleteThat rug with the curled up edge is a trip hazard for an old man
ReplyDeleteOoooh bitchy ain't we. Nasty too.
DeleteLost your sense of humour Jo?
DeleteNot that the comment is anything to do with you.
Nothing funny about your comment whatsoever, just bitchy and nasty as usual.
DeleteHealthy kittens love to play, you've taken good care of them and it shows
ReplyDelete--Mary
You live in such an amazing community! Lynn, Pecos, NM, USA
ReplyDeleteDid Mary meet you at the door: "I didn't do it!"
ReplyDeleteKittens can be such dahlings. Until they're not!
ReplyDeleteI love the cat in the upper-right hand corner of the picture serenely eyeing the destruction.
ReplyDeleteHa! I guess they thought it was a cat toy. Which it became! That's so great about the business delivering the bulbs.
