Internet

My sister had left me a roast dinner on my door step which was kind tonight.
Im tired after a busy shift, so ate supper on my knee in front of a hastily lit fire.
Another day at work tomorrow.
My Hotmail email account , the one I’ve had 25 years, has been locked which has been a real bind
Despite hours trying to reopen it I’ve had to resort to jgsheffield@icloud.com to sort out my life on line
How much re rely on the internet now

Hey ho

  1. It is frustrating when that happens... something that is supposed to be so easy, yet isn't... frustrating.

A blessing to have a meal ready for you after a long shift!

  2. I hate that so much of our daily doings, financial and the like, now depend on emails and passwords, on systems that can seem so fickle. Very annoying for you.

How kind of your sister to provide a yummy supper for you after the work shift and long drive back home in Bluebell.
Bummer to the max that your Hotmail account has been locked and hope the key to unlocking it will be simple and quick. Ask your nephew what to do!

    Hugs!

  4. Have you got any idea why your e-mail account has been locked? Perhaps you have exceeded your storage limit or maybe it's the work of scam mischief makers. We rely on our e-mail connectivity so much these days.

Be vigilant. If you do your banking/purchasing online, review your bank and credit card statements. Do not answer any emails that look suspicious. I only suggest this, not to frighten you but a hacker can be very clever and dangerous.
    Take care. Bun

  6. It's so nice that your sister left a meal for you.
Technology can be very helpful when it works, but it's extremely annoying when it doesn't.I hope a simple solution is soon
    revealed to you,

  7. What a treasure your sister is. After a tiring shift, and a winter's drive, having a prepared meal - especially a yummy roast - would be a life-saver. I hope tomorrow's shift is less tiring. We're in that hiatus between Christmas and the next lot of business. I'm doing a big family meal tonight before they all leave at crack of dawn tomorrow... then more peace until they return in a week. But it's summer here, so lovely, lazy days. I don't envy you your cold, dark winters.

  8. Big hugs and cuddles. Sisters are great! Food is a must , but good food is a blessing. The interwebs and their foils sometimes have their own languages.

  9. Sisters are the best, aren't they? And yes...how we do rely on the internet!

  10. Why would that happen? I use Hotmail as well, but I've had no problems with it. I think you need a 13 year old to sort it out!

Your sister is such a kind a thoughtful person.

Whenever I have internet problems I think exactly that. We are so dependent now on technology.

  12. Technology is wonderful - when it works, but when it doesn't... I hope you can get it sorted out quickly, easily and without pulling out too much hair!
How considerate of your sister. What a real treasure! xx

My hotmail got buggered about 20 years ago and it seemed to lock up my ipad. I got a new ipad and now for some reason my phone keeps asking for my hotmail yahoo password. Of course I don’t know what it was. I use an icloud account now without any problem. I was really pissed as i had a lot of my travel photos on that ipad and never could recover them. Maybe I was hacked. I don’t put any financial stuff on my phone because I really have no idea about computers and would probably lose everything because of my ignorance. I retired before computers were a thing and never had lessons on how to use them. My grandson gave me a ten minute lesson when I got the first ipad when he was about eight years old and the rest is by just mucking about with it.. I hope you can get your problem sorted out. So frustrating. Gigi

  16. It's so thoughtful of your sister to leave you a roast dinner, especially after a busy day! It's the little things like that that really make a difference.

Sorry to hear about the issues with your Hotmail account; it's so frustrating when something like that happens, especially with how much we rely on email for everything now. Hopefully, you'll be able to get it sorted soon.

Take care and rest up after a long shift—another day at work awaits!

I just shared a new blog post. I invite you to visit!

  18. That's a bummer about your Hotmail. Why did it lock down, any idea? My e-mail has a couple of rescue methods that will allegedly allow me to access the account if I ever get locked out -- mostly involving them sending me a new access code via text or another e-mail address. Fortunately I haven't had to go that route yet.

  21. I suddenly lost my Hotmail acct. 2 months ago...I don't know why, I'd used it for 15 yrs. .I tried every way to get it back for 2 wks. I finally said enough, I'm wasting valuable time in my 81 year life!! Thankfully, I had kept my old "Yahoo" acnt. so then had to go thru all my on line business/other activities to change everyone to Yahoo..thankfully they all responded and goal accomplished! Microsoft seems to be a mess...I'm done with them.
