Mary and Dotty on the couch
I got home around 9pm to an empty house
Another week of missing choir
Trendy Carol ( in some lovely floral pumps no doubt) had left a message
" Dogs Round at mine!"
They galloped to meet me as I walked through her gate
Mary first at full pelt...tongue lolling, eyes hopefull and oh so happy
Winnie second, puffing like a steam train coming into a station
And Dotty last......not quite sure what was expected of her but understanding a mighty fine game was afoot
It's lovely to be welcomed home
After a long shift
Isnt it justx
ReplyDeleteIt is so nice to be welcomed home by our four footed children. Dotty will learn the routine quickly at her young age.
ReplyDeletemine knock me off my feet sometimes
ReplyDeleteWelcome home x
ReplyDeleteH.I. runs up to greet me with tongue lolling when I get home too. I love coming home.
ReplyDeleteHad you brought chips?
DeleteI only have to go to the dustbin and my little Teddy squeals and he jumps up and down with excitement when I return.Dotty looks well settled and Trendy Carol is so kind to welcome them all into her home - hope they are on their best behaviour at hers x
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful welcome.
ReplyDeletefurkids are better than humans many times.
ReplyDeleteSweet
ReplyDeleteSo nice. X
ReplyDeleteDid Albert even notice you were gone?
ReplyDeleteThat is sweet! Both the picture AND the welcome.
ReplyDeleteI like how you imagined what Trendy Carol might have on her feet, lol
Bright spot in my day when I am welcomed home by mine.
ReplyDeleteI love this post ! My gud dugs greeting me at the door is just the best. Plus such great neighbors you have.
ReplyDeleteparsnip
Yes, it is. Wagging tails are a wonderful welcome.
ReplyDeleteNothing like the pets.
ReplyDeleteLovely of Carol to take the dogs in, I love to come home to my dog as well he's getting a bit slower and I don't have a back up. I see Dotty has found a place on the couch and Winnie looks like she is figuring out how to get up there as well I'm so glad that they are accepting of each other.
ReplyDeleteMay have missed it but I'm still wondering what Albert makes of the new arrival/imposter(?), wondering if he's showing signs of jealousy, though of course it's never easy to fathom a cat's feelings, so internalised as they are.
ReplyDeleteI can see a nice bond forming with mary and Dotty. Precious photo.
ReplyDeleteLovely! Didn't take long for Dorothy to become Dotty!!
ReplyDeleteWill Dotty get much bigger ? How nice of Trendy Carol to take the dogs to her home, does she have a key or are all doors left unlocked in your village ? X
ReplyDeleteYou must have seen "The Birdman of Alcatraz"...well you are "The Dogman of Trelawnyd". Your story could also be made into a film... starring Alan Carr!
ReplyDeleteA well deserved welcome
ReplyDeleteSo lovely that Winnie and Mary have accepted Dotty so well and so quickly into their home. What a welcome - does not get much better than that!!
ReplyDeleteSo true.
ReplyDeleteIt's always nice to get a welcome home.
ReplyDeleteNow THAT'S real true love!
ReplyDeleteHome Sweet Home.....
ReplyDeleteHow sweet it is!
ReplyDeleteHugs!
Yes, all this is what matters.
ReplyDeleteSeems to me that Dotty has landed on her feet.
