Judges and presenters Sexy Paul Hollywood, sue and Mel and sweet cheeks Mary Berry |
Well I am hooked again
The Great British Bake Off
Continues into it's third week and we had mousy little Deborah
Accidentally stealing my favourite contestant Howard the geek's trifle custard by mistake, while
Mark's macaroons failed to shine as Ruby's adlib petit fours were baked on a wing and a prayer
You can tell Autumn is here
Tuesday nights, watching a silly baking show
Is one of life's big delights!
Sheffield's Howard..... A man who never gets flustered, or laid? |
He is nice, better than bloody Brendan!!!!
ReplyDeleteYes Brendan was a little pretentious .... But he made good in the last episide.....
ReplyDeleteI kind of like glen, Kimberly and Ali..though Ruby gets on my tits
I saw Paul Hollywood on an American version of this show... I understand how you got hooked, it was delicious!
ReplyDeleteCathy
DeleteThe Uk version is much slower paced
Trouble is, after Paul's American adventures, very time I see him with a glint in his eye I imagine he's just been fondling the prettiest contestant's fondue, or icing her cake.
ReplyDeleteLucky for us in th uk....Mary berry is above all that
DeleteAnd sue Perkins is a lesbo
(howard comment, meow saucer of milk? Table for 2?)As my old home ec teacher would say baking is a science. That why that howard probably does well.
ReplyDeleteMy friends says her mum shouts at the tv for the whole programme. I couldn't watch it when the girl with the curly hair put curdled butter icing on the first lot of baking. I defo couldn't of tasted it
Sol... I kind of like him
DeleteHe's a geek and. A nice guy
Paul Hollywood was in the town recently where I work, and whilst the camera was rolling he was all smooooze and twinkling eyed however, once the cameras were turned off, so did he. He put up an invisible barrier and disappeared into the local hotel/pub avoiding adoring fans!
ReplyDeleteAh............perhaps he is a bit of an alpha male with an edge
DeletePaul Hollywood would appear to be your tv double, it is absolutely remarkable. Is he sporting his "bog boots"?, difficult to tell from the pic.
ReplyDeleteAs if?
DeleteI don't want to watch baking. I want to eat baking.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Janie
Do both!
DeleteBuy a bun and watch the tv
They need to get rid of the cheating rat bag Mr Hollywood. He's ruining it for me. Love Mary & Sue though xx
ReplyDeleteI must admit di...... I don't like him as much as I did
DeleteI enjoy the cooking shows. We have one here that might be a rip-off of this one but I think your show might be better.
ReplyDeletecheers, parsnip
It is

ReplyDeleteFor your blog visitors, I just want to say that Howard is by no means typical of Sheffield men! We don't bake, we just eat or shop at Gregg's.
ReplyDeleteIsn't John from Sheffield? Didn't he bake a quiche? I don't feel like paging back.
DeleteSusie...He's not "from" Sheffield. We just allowed him to stay here on a cultural enrichment programme. As soon as he started baking quiches he was banished to Wales.

DeleteYP, we heard you the first time.
DeleteHoward has a partner - he probably gets laid as often as you do...
ReplyDeleteTime to watch a baking show sounds like heaven to me! Bake on, I say!
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean. Fall means watching cooking shows, eating Cheetos and packing those pounds right back on.
ReplyDeleteWe had guests again, so I'll have to watch the Sunday repeat. Last week I fell asleep during the 'bread sticks'. I'm kinda hooked too (if only I can stay awake).
ReplyDeleteBut surely, J.G., wouldn't you rather read a good book? Next think is you'll be telling us who you want to win on 'Strictly'! ;-)
ReplyDeleteAs I sat and watched it last night I ate a whole packet of maltesers. A BIG packet. It was as if I was in a trance and as there was no cake in the house I was compelled to just keep having another one...and another one...and another one.....looking at the empty packer later I felt so guilty...and sick. I blame the bake off.
ReplyDeleteI love the Great Australian Bake Off too ~ almost blogged about it last week. It is a hoot!! We are into the finals. Saw the British version when I went looking for a You Tube clip last week and concluded ours was just a spin off of yours. Mind you, yours would not be baking laming tons, pavlovas and vegemite scrolls.
ReplyDeleteWhat are Vegemite Scrolls?
DeleteThe GBBO and Strictly make the end of summer bearable.
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen any of them yet, we don't have TV here in France. Catching up will almost be enough to console me when we get home.
Is that your professional name... Paul Hollywood? You look great in that color!
ReplyDeleteEach to his own - Paul does nothing for me but Sue on the other hand...
ReplyDeleteHowever I don't watch it - not my cuppa only thing I watch on Tuesday's is Top Boy... now that probably says a lot about me... and you... !?
Paul Hollywood leaves me cold. Love the girls though.
ReplyDeleteI craved something sweet while watching, raided the fridge & ended up with sour fruits of the forest & Greek yogurt !
My mum made the BEST trifles with bought trifle sponges & all gooey - not with set layers - yuck !
Ahwwww ....poor Howard. He made the perfect custard only to have bloody Deborah pinch it !! Still, she got her 'just desserts' and was sent home along with really annoying Mark. Justice was done this week I think.
ReplyDeleteI love Howard ... and Rob { his octopus bread was an hilarious disaster !! } Ali and Beca the army wife.
I've been watching Paul Hollywood for years .... he used to have his own baking show .... and I've never really liked him. He might have twinkly blue eyes but he needs a personality implant and a sense of humour, the love rat !! XXXX
We're glued to the tele every Tuesday watching this programme..... yes EVEN Lovely Hubby is now well and truly hooked, although I could never persuade him to make or even eat a Floating Island!!
ReplyDeleteAnd as for the joke yesterday about Deborah needing to be taken into 'custardy' for her terrible theft .....
I'm so sad I record it and have it on in the background when I'm making things for the market stall :-)
ReplyDeleteWe've never watched before this series, and are completely hooked. Haven't seen last night's episode, but The Boy spotted something on Twitter about one of the women making a butt plug for her husband...we are intrigued to say the least
ReplyDeleteOur baking show is so rude and downright annoying!!
ReplyDeleteAs ever.....that Hollywood can come and check out my buns anytime!
ReplyDeleteI think Paul was one of the judges on a recent short run series called American Bakeoff.
ReplyDeleteThat's all I have to say, haha!
